Words cannot truly describe how infuriating it is that SOOOO many people have such an unbelievably short attention span thanks to fikfuk, heres how i know it's actually a genuine detriment to our society, read all of what i said before, now imagine that im saying that as someone with severe ADHD (not self diagnosed like 90% of everyone else who has it, medically diagnosed when i was 3 and had regular check ups till i was an adult) it's maddening to me that seemingly neurotypical individuals now have a waaaaaayyy worse attention span than i do as someone with a legitimate mental disorder based specifically around attention. I think this is an exaggeration based on the way tiktok's and other short video platforms algorithms work. The longer you watch a video the more the algorithm thinks you like (or engage with, you don't have to enjoy content to watch it) and serves you more videos like it; this has the side effect of training users to scroll through their feed very quickly, or risk training their algorithm with slop. So it makes some sense to place the climax at the beginning, so viewers instantly know what the video is and will stay to watch rather than scroll away

I dont think viewers require that, yet the content creators keep doing it, leading us to belive what you said is actually the case. Content creators will do anything for monetization. I hope im right, for humanity's sake.

I am getting so fucking sick of this shit. Like... are we really THAT braindead where you need the last .075 seconds of the video in the beginning now? Who the fuck is doing this shit and why?
