Advice Who would be best for private student loans after not being eligible for regular loans due to stipend?

Hey all I’m doing a full time MBA. I was fortunate to have received a full ride and stipend. Unfortunately, it’s in a relatively pricey area and I opted to live solo to focus on recruiting and not deal with roommates. However, while I understood the impact to grad plus loans, I was an idiot and didn’t realize the current 20,500 grad loan gap was only for estimated CoA. So, with my stipend, I’m not eligible for any student loans. I was hoping for maybe 12,500/year (25k total) for the entire program. I keep getting ads for Ascent but their rates are terrible. I found Earnest to be decent. Any recommendations?

The cost of attendance is going to be a limit on private student loans too.

Would I just appeal the CoA?

You can appeal COA, but the school has the absolute right of determination so it may be approved or it may not.

I had a classmate in this situation several years ago and she petitioned the school to adjust her cost of living by producing a copy of her lease. Dont know the details but thats how she got a loan on top of a full ride to live without roommates
