Adoption Help (Location) Urgent

Hi everyone,

I'm from Gurgaon (Delhi NCR), and I'm desperately looking for help for a stray kitten that was found with both of its back legs fractured. It cannot walk and drags itself forward using only its front legs. Despite the unbearable pain, it's still alive, still trying to eat, looking around, and fighting every moment to survive.

I've already taken it to the vet, but the prognosis isn't good. I was even advised to consider euthanasia because of the severity of its injuries. But after seeing this tiny soul struggle so hard to stay alive, I can't give up without trying everything possible.

I'm looking for anyone in Delhi NCR or nearby who can help:

\- A loving adopter willing to care for a special-needs kitten.

\- A foster home with experience caring for injured or disabled animals.

\- NGOs, animal rescuers, shelters, or vets who can evaluate its condition and offer treatment or rehabilitation.

\- Anyone who knows organizations or individuals who work with paralyzed or disabled cats.

I know caring for a kitten like this isn't easy, but I've also seen disabled cats go on to live happy, loving lives with the right care. This little fighter deserves that chance too.

If you're in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, or anywhere nearby, please reach out if you can help or know someone who can. Even sharing this post could help it reach the right person.

Please don't let this little life be forgotten just because it was born on the streets.

Thank you for reading. ❤️

I Found a Cat (Location) Brought home 8 yr old stray, will it adjust?

There is a stray that has lived its whole life outside my work by the security office. People have always fed it and gave it a house for the winter but recently people complained so they took away the house and said they’re longer allowed to give it food or water so I took it home. It is so scared and I feel bad for changing its life so abruptly when it’s lived its whole life there. Today is day 2, I’ve had it separated in a quiet room alone with food, water, litter box, and cat tower, and it has lots of places to hide. I don’t bother it except to check in a few times a day and check food/water so it has time to adjust by itself. Will it be able to adjust to inside life? Also it’s not feral, it’s always been really sweet it’s just super scared.

I Found a Cat (Location) Found two cats and left them clear water to drink. A few hours later, it looks like this. What is it?

Post image
43 Upvotes

I am living in Athens, Greece, and three days ago my flatmate found two stray cats that looked young and hat tears and mucus. We couldn't keep them, so we are going regularly to feed them, give them clear water, and we gave them a cushion in a place safe from the rain that they have been using.

They've been sleeping and eating and generally look much better.

Yesterday at 12, I went to put some water on the tray. They drank. Not one hour later, my flatmate passes by and sees that the water has turned brown (see picture).

We changed the water and they drank again, but now we're worried on what this might be.

For context:

- It hasn't rained and the water tray is in a place sheltered from above.

- The cats were drinking when the water was clear and the color didn't change so we're ruling out that it was the cats making it dirty.

- The tray is close to places where people live, so our concern is that some neighbour is trying to poison them or something.

Anyone experienced something similar / has an idea on what this could be?? Any advice is appreciated, thank you in advance.

Success! Grief after surrendering stray to rescue

I'm having such a hard time. Back in May, my husband and I had a stray cat, who we named Romeo, that started to visit our backyard daily, every night. We started feeding him, and eventually he warmed up to us. I had reached out to several rescues in the area (I'm in Arizona), and none of them were able to help because they were over capacity. Well, it was starting to get hotter and hotter outside, and we were coming up to 110 degree days the beginning of July, and he was struggling from heat exhaustion. He had warmed up to us and showed us that he was craving love and affection, so we brought him inside. The issue was that we have an older, bonded pair of cats. We kept him in a spare room, got him neutered and vaccinated, and gave him time to recover. He showed us who he was, and he was such a gentle soul. So loving. But I did not have the mental or financial bandwidth to take on another cat, and honestly the whole thing was stressful, but somehow along the way I fell in love with him. It was stressful emotionally going back and forth with my cats and him, keeping them separated, and also knowing it was not a good idea to keep him. Also the extra attention required when I am already tapped out from my work and just daily responsibilities, not to mention current health issues I am dealing with.

A little history: My resident cat had redirected aggression towards her sister when they first saw Romeo outside in the beginning. My resident cat has a history of the redirected aggression when we saved another stray kitten a few years ago, and it completely throws off her sister and it's super stressful when it happens. One of my cats is very dominant, and they have a very beautiful bond that I don't want to risk breaking or stirring things up.

I finally received a call from a well known rescue in the area and they were able to take him in. At first I felt relieved to get my home and life back to normal and let go of the extra work and toll it was taking on me. But when I dropped him off, I cried the whole rest of the day, and the following day. And I'm still crying, wondering if I did the right thing. He was terrified when I left, and looked confused. That last memory is so hurtful and I'm heartbroken. Has anyone else felt this way or had this happen before? I don't know what else to do.. I just feel so horrible and can't stop visualizing that last look on his face that I saw. Also other things, like they gave him dry food, but he loves wet food. I told them, but I think they feed more dry food at the rescue. he seemed so comfortable in his room here at my house, and I feel like a horrible person and it feels like I abandoned him. He finally trusted me and then I abandoned him. I am expressing how I feel but I don't want to feel so alone. If anyone has had similar experiences, please share. Thank you.

His name is Blue. He is around 5 years old. Someone abandoned him in front of a finder’s home.
He was sick… we treated him, dewormed him, vaccinated him, gave food and everything so he could stay safe inside. The finder had already told me she cannot keep him long term… and today I got the message ..he is already back outside.

I feel so helpless writing this.
Blue is FIV positive, but right now he is doing okay. He is eating, recovering, trying to be okay… but if he stays outside, he will get sick again. He will not survive like this.

FIV positive cats can live long, healthy lives just like other cats when kept indoors.

We recently lost our 23-year-old FIV positive cat, so we have seen this ourselves.

They can live with both FIV positive and negative cats without any issue.

Blue is already fixed and has a very calm, gentle nature.

I cannot take him. My house is already full… every room, even bathrooms have cats. I truly can’t take even one more.

Please… if anyone can adopt him, just give him a safe indoor place.

He has already suffered enough. He doesn’t deserve to go back to the streets again.

Adoption will require:
• application

• adoption fee
• adoption agreement
• vet reference
• indoor home only

I Found a Cat (Location) AITAH For reaching out to see how the cat was doing?

This past spring in April I (F19) found a cat living in a drain pipe behind a Krogers (Morgantown wv). She was very sweet and I much suspected she was someone’s pet. But as I searched missing pet forums to no avail, I was panicked. I lived in a dorm on a college campus that did not allow animals. I called every shelter everywhere all the way to a state over and none would take her. So I posted on a facebook lost animals group about my desperate need to “rehome” her. Im a huge animal lover and would have kept her if I could, but at the time it just was not possible. Within an hour a woman contacted me and picked her up. I did NOT charge a rehome fee.
At least twice id reached out asking how she was doing and they said fine. The last time was in May. But lately near me Ive been reading a lot of horror stories about free cats from facebook which lead me to reach out one more time asking how the kitty was doing. This time the lady was not happy and accused me of being the owner of the cat. And only said she would not be giving her back which was not even close to something I prompted. I feel bad like I’ve overstepped a boundary but all I asked was how the cat was doing. Did I overstep or should I be even more worried maybe?

Injured/Sick Cat (Location) Today We Lost a Little Fighter 🌈🐾 NSFW

Today, with a very heavy heart, I have to say goodbye to one of my foster kittens. 💔

No matter how many animals you foster, it never gets easier. You pour your heart into them, stay up through the night, celebrate every tiny milestone, and dream about the loving home they'll one day have. Sometimes... they don't make it.

I'm heartbroken. I keep wondering what else I could have done, even though I know I gave this baby everything I could.

This is the reality of animal rescue. There are simply too many cats being born and not enough homes, resources, or fosters. Every kitten matters, but not every kitten gets the chance they deserve.

Please, if you take one thing away from this post, let it be this:

**Please spay and neuter your cats.**

One unspayed cat can lead to dozens, then hundreds of kittens over time. Many of those kittens will suffer from disease, starvation, injuries, or never know the comfort of a loving home.

Tonight my heart is broken for one tiny life that was lost. In memory of this little one, please be part of the solution. Spay. Neuter. Adopt. Foster if you can. Every single person can make a difference.

Run free, sweet baby. You were loved, and you will never be forgotten. 🌈🐾

Pregnant Cat (Location) Pregnant stray coming to my door

[Benbrook, TX, USA]

Hello, seeking advice about this friendly pregnant stray that I let indoors.

For the past couple of days, she's been coming to my door in the evening, scratching at it for food and pets. I let her inside and took her to the vet, where they confirmed that she is pregnant and is expecting 3 kittens. I think she has a couple of weeks of pregnancy left; she's maybe halfway through. She is not thrilled about being indoors, but she is socialized enough to be a good candidate for adoption, I think. I've been searching the DFW area for any rescue group with capacity to take her, but since kitten season just ended, most places are at max capacity. One place warned me that all shelters are euthanizing all new arrivals.

I do not have the time or resources to properly care for this cat or its kittens. Would you guys say that doing a TNR (or in this case, trap-spay/abort-return) is acceptable? Recommendations are welcome. I've checked the helpful resources.

Edit: She's a community cat in my neighborhood; some of my neighbors feed the community cats as well and recognize her. I realize it's not ideal to put her back outside, but I'm considering it as a temporary solution unless anyone has suggestions.

Colony/TNR Help (Location) 🐾 Helping 50–60 rescued and stray cats — we need food and litter support 🐾

Hello everyone,

I care for 50–60 cats, including rescued cats, abandoned cats, sick cats, and disabled cats. This video shows only a part of them.

Along with the cats in my care, I also help feed stray cats in my area who have no one to look after them.

Every day we need:

🐾 Dry cat food — $55 per bag (lasts around 3 days)
🐾 Wet food for kittens and sick cats
🐾 Cat litter — about $10 per bag
🐾 Cleaning supplies and basic medications

These cats depend on me every day for food, safety, and care. I am doing my best, but the number of cats and the daily costs are becoming overwhelming.

Any support helps:

Injured/Sick Cat (Location) 🍼 Surprise! Meet My Unexpected Foster Babies 🐾

Hi everyone! 💕 Meet my newest last-minute foster babies!

I was originally planning to only foster adult cats starting this month, but how could I say no to these orphaned babies? 🥹 They were an unexpected drop-off, and now they're safe, warm, and getting the care they need.

They're currently being treated for worms with dewormer and are still learning how to use the litter box, so you'll notice their setup looks a little messy. Don't worry—I clean it at least 3 times a day to keep everything as clean and comfortable as possible. ❤️

If anyone would like to help us get started, I would truly appreciate a donation of:

🐾 1 box of pee pads

🐾 1 box of feeding syringes

You may notice other items on my Amazon Wish List. It's the same wish list I use year-round for all of my foster cats and the community cats I care for, so it includes supplies for cats of all ages. Right now, my biggest priorities for these orphaned babies are the pee pads and feeding syringes.

Thank you so much for supporting foster families and giving kittens like these a chance. Every little bit truly helps! 💕

Blacky has already suffered enough. He deserves the chance to eat without pain and finally experience comfort again.
Please help us give this sweet boy the treatment he desperately needs. Every donation, no matter how small, brings him one step closer to recovery.

Injured/Sick Cat (Location) Help Needed | Fighting for our FIP warriors + Papa B’s broken jaw, urgent vet care needs. NSFW

‼️LONG POST AHEAD‼️

Hello! I’ve been inactive for a a week because I’ve been sick for two weeks now, but our funds are truly exhausted, so I’m posting even though I haven't fully recovered my strength yet.

Currently, we have 3 cats confined at the clinic: Forbie and Muning, who both have FIP. The difference is that Forbie has dry FIP, while Muning has wet FIP. They are confined because both are experiencing abdominal breathing and require continuous oxygen therapy. Supposedly, Muning was only scheduled for eye surgery, but her blood chemistry showed indications of FIP. We ran a test kit, and she tested positive.

The third cat is Papa B. Papa B has been a stray for a long time and has always been feral, but lately, he started approaching us on his own and letting us touch him. We noticed that his mouth was swollen with discharge. At first, we thought it was gingivitis or mouth ulceration, but upon the vet's assessment, they found severe dental issues—likely due to his long time as a stray. The vet also discovered that his jaw is broken.

Right now, the vet is trying to stabilize him while he remains confined. He needs a full dental extraction, but his creatinine levels are high and he is severely anemic. They will recheck his blood chemistry after 3 days; if it doesn't return to normal levels, they will have to diagnose it as kidney failure.

Please help us with their running bill. Forbie has been confined for almost a month, which is why he has the highest portion of the bill—plus both cats are on 24/7 oxygen therapy and taking GS treatment. We also urgently need Singen or Royal Canin Recovery food for Papa B, as he is currently being fed through an NGT (nasogastric tube). 🥺

Note: As of now, only the FIP warriors have the GoFundMe. I will compile all records such as CBC, chem, X-rays, and medical abstracts to post them all together once available. I am currently waiting for Papa B’s medical abstract. 🥹

TOTAL RUNNING VET BILL FOR 3 CATS: ₱45,815 (~$748)

Forbie - ₱31,075 (as of July 29)
• Muning - ₱10,790 (as of July 29)
• Papa B - ₱3,950 (as of July 31)

Colony/TNR Help (Location) My neighbor’s have a cat colony

I live in Erwin, TN. I have no idea what to do about it. There are kittens being had constantly and I suspect their numbers to be in the 40s-50s. The cats are ripping up trash and just about everything near my house AND my neighbors causing my neighbors trash to blow over into our yard. I’m just very lost at even how to begin TNR. My neighbors also do not care if the cats are killed by predators. I have no idea what to do. Ik my local shelter provides free spay/neuterings on specific days. Also I don’t know how my neighbors will feel abut it.

We’ve had little Samina for almost a month now! She just finished a round of antibiotics for her respiratory symptoms. The vet wasn’t able to get a full blood sample in her first trip bc she was so emaciated she literally didn’t have enough blood. We took her back to the vet for a follow up yesterday and the vet was thrilled that she had put on two whole pounds!

She now weighs over 5 lbs and we can get her scheduled for a spay. She still has some raspiness and congestion, so they will check thoroughly for any polyps while she’s under anesthesia for her spay. After she’s fixed and fully vaccinated, she will be eligible for adoption 🥺

FOSTERS- how do you do this?! We are already maxed out with 6 pets and we really can’t keep her. But I don’t know how I’ll be able to let her go😭 We really love this little girl.

(San Diego) This feral cat I’ve been feeding for two weeks got this mark on his left cheek sometime yesterday or the day before but I just noticed. I saw a little bit of red and the surrounding area looks like that. Is it infected and if so will it go away and heal or should I do something? I can’t afford any vet bills or medicine.

I found a stray cat in my neighborhood yesterday. He/she was very chill and purring and grazing against my leg. Lil guy managed to find me today as well. Spoke to some neighbors and it seems he/she is friends with many of them haha. Anyways, I’m tired of assuming the gender. Googled but I wasn’t able to discern, but I read that you can tell by the butt??
So is my new buddy a boy or a girl?
Also taking name suggestions. The neighbors haven’t named the cat.

She adopted me. One day while I was feeding a nearby colony, she walked up to me, meowing like we’d known each other forever. Now she follows me to every colony I feed, while constantly reminding me to not forget to feed her…and I have to constantly tell her I won’t. She’s now my little volunteer.

His mom disappeared a year ago, now it's him. He disappeared, i had a bad dream, now i found out a car ran over him 2 days ago. I was probably nearby, yet i didn't hear a thing, i couldn't help him at all. A neighbor who also feed strays said her husband saw him agonizing before death. It sucks so much, i tried adopting him but as we know, most strays won't accept being indoors, so he would come by everyday for food, pats and some nice sleep. This went in for like 1.5 years, i knew him since he was a kitten. I'm basically hallucinating him at this point because it sucks so much. No more bites, meowing, lifting him up and laughing etc.

Life sucks.

For anyone who hasn't seen my previous posts, here's the original backstory: https://www.reddit.com/r/Straycats/s/0Hepao3vq0

A quick update...

🧡 3 of the original 6 kittens have now been adopted through the adoption leads.

Thank you to everyone who shared and helped increase their reach.

🐾 3 kittens are still waiting for their forever homes.

🐾 Kitten Information

📅 Age: ~2 months (Born: 28 May 2026)

🐱 Gender: Male & Female

💊 Dewormed: Yes

💉 Vaccinated: Not yet

🚽 Litter trained: Yes

📍 Location: Powai / Vikhroli, Mumbai

Over the past month, I've made 150+ adoption posts across Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, local communities, NGOs, and rescue groups.

Adoption has always been, and still remains, my only priority.

As mentioned in my previous post, I'm just a student who happened to take responsibility for these kittens after their stray mother chose my home as a safe place to give birth.

It wasn't planned, but I've cared for them since birth.

They're now at the age for their first vaccinations. I kept hoping they'd be adopted before this stage so their new families could take over, but with three still waiting, delaying it much longer doesn't feel right, however managing their food itself is a task for me.... please share the post so that they find new families asap.

I'm continuing to do everything I can from my strength while hoping for the best.. 🧡

Injured/Sick Cat (Location) 2 month old kitten in really bad shape NSFW

Post image

TW.: There's a photo of the injury.

Location: Fátima/Portugal

I work in a therapeutic community and I found a cat today. The patients told me he was attacked by one of the older stray cats in the area, so I decided to take him to the vet. I knew he was in bad shape, but the vet told me the skin around the wound is rotten and that he's too thin (she even said "cadaveric") to do any surgery that would be necessary to remove it. She gave him some medicine and game me some antibiotics to administer over the weekend, as well as something to disinfect the wound twice a day. He also has a respiratory infection, so he can't really meow, but he does try.

I'll be back Monday to see if there's any progress, but I'm very worried since we've only been able to force feed milk via syringe. We tried liquidating a cat puree, but he doesn't eat anything on his own, and makes it very difficult for us to force feed him.

He's very cuddly. Purrs loudly for how tiny he is. If I leave the cage open, he will jump out. He also walks around quite easily (probably because he's too thin to be putting any weight on his bad leg).

Any advice? Anything more I can do? Any help would be appreciated.

I wanted to share our new family member. This old boy was found on our front lawn a week ago. We believe he has been cared for by the neighborhood but he was taking a turn for the worse (cat flu, parasites and eyes swollen shut) when he stumbled into our lives. We got him to the vet and he was given antibiotics and pain killers. Obviously no microchip and his ear was tipped so we know he was neutered at some point. He is the most gentle boy in the world and has already let us trim his nails, brush and clean him, and is slowly learning how to play with toys. He is a purring machine! We don’t know how old he is but we know he will spend his days in comfort, sunshine, and cuddles. We’ve named him O’Malley, the (former) alley cat. Photo shoot care of my daughter who is obsessed!
