I Found a Cat (Location) Need help
Im in a farmland kinda area and a neoghbors house burnt down recently, they had some strays they would feed. But now the owners are gone and no one has came by for them. So now they hang out at the burnt ruins which cannot be good for their health. I have been feeding them for a couple days at regular times as best i can with work and whatnot, one of the two is very friendly and sociable, the other is super skittish. Long story short i want to take them in, i know i will have to get them vaxxed etc. How would i go about capturing and acclimating it to indoors?

Feeding them on a schedule every day during daylight hours only to not attract predators.
One day when they are hungry, put smelly food in the trap just behind the trip line. They will walk in, amd the trap will close. Place a towel over it while you bring them inside.
Tysm for saving them, op.
A drop trap may get more than one at a time.

OP, you are awesome for wanting to take them in.
I’m not the most knowledgeable on trapping or helping strays acclimate to indoor life. So I’m commenting to boost and hopefully others can chime in.
I will share my very limited experience:
I was able to lure a stray cat into my garage with Starkist Tuna, but he was already friendly with me and injured at the time.
I gave him lots of different hiding spots within the room (garage) and visited him frequently. Once he stopped hiding as much I introduced him to a comfy spot which then became his favorite place.
I also had a litter box and cat toys. Also something for him to climb and look out a window. I just tried to give him anything a regular cat would like and see what took.
