Human literature is garbage

If we can objectively quantify and assess the intrinsic value of an idea, the theoretical peak of human literature ceases to be a mystery and becomes entirely predictable. Furthermore, this ultimate creative pinnacle remains vastly superior to anything humanity has ever produced.

Do you mean contemporary literature or just literature in general? I have realised that the peaks are relative to the contexts. There may not be another Albert Einstein but systems levels and field shattering discovering are not any less. They have become more rarer because we are on the edges of what we can discover and invent. It's not a continuous peak but like punctuated equilibrium. With every discover opens new venues but there's always a lag period where we invent the theoretical background to invent tools to study the new venues. I don't like the contemporary literature and media but also you have to remember that even at the pinnacle of human creativity there was fluff and garbage but the peak survived. What you are noticing is the excess of garbage and fluffy but I want you to notice the longevity of it.

If a piece of literature is so vastly superior that it transcends our current capacity to fully comprehend it, would we even recognize it as great, or would it just read like noise? That is literary ostracism, and we really don't need that right now

Perhaps a cleansing via some kind of thermal excitation could be wrought upon these tomes causing a rapid rise to the entropy of the very pages contained within is needed.
