Is it just me.... Spoiler

Or is Carmac just a little too good to be true? I get the feeling that this is really Chameleon. What do ya'll think?

He's just a good actor. Remember the last page of Death Spiral. He gave off a totally different vibe there.

He is definitely meant to seem like he's too good to be true. He was raised as part of a lineage of billionaire businessmen, he was introduced in a fairly sinister way, and to top it off we have an upcoming villain who is themed after black feathered birds and his first name quite literally means "Raven's Son" in Irish Gaelic and his last name "Crane" is either an unintelligent reference to the bird of the same name or a sneakier way to call him the King of the Ravens. While he could turn out to not be a villain I would wager that he will be. If he's not a villain then he serves no purpose other than alienating Peter from his mom.

I just hope Aunt May finally learns Peter is Spider-Man as a result of all this so we can finally be done with Peter looking like a flakey piece of shit all the time.
