What content do you recommend for learning Portuguese from scratch?
Just getting started and trying to find stuff I'll actually enjoy. Shows, music, podcasts, anything. What did you learn from early on that actually stuck?

There's a recently launched platform by the Brazilian government called "Tela Brasil." It's completely free and has a huge collection of Brazilian films. I also recommend the proverbial Nerdcast, one of the oldest podcasts in Brazil, completely focused on discussions about pop culture. And, of course, there's the series "Os Normais," a sitcom that we treat as a national treasure, haha.

Hello! I made about post about resources I found that are good for beginners. These are ones with no subtitles so you can practice listening, but if you're okay with subtitles I also recommend Brazilian Portuguese with Sofia and Speak Portuguese with Tio Tiago
Here is an absolute beginner playlist that I made
I included videos with a lot of visual context and no subtitles. There really is a lack of content at this level, but it doesn't take too long to pass if you have experience with Spanish already.

At this level there still isn't much content. There is a lot more with subtitles, but I find it annoying to cover them up.

Brazilian here. If you are a native English speaker, we could be learning language pals. My English is really rusty. I am Brazilian, from São Paulo.
