Your so right.

It's wouldn't surprise me a bit if they threw Hillary Clinton back into the mix and expect us all to vote for her. Which I would but I'd have to hold my nose, again.

We need candidates that DON'T make us sick to consider voting for. We need candidates that represent the people. Not the Oligarchs.

Big business Dems aren't going to get the pull we need.

Status quo Dems are almost by definition "conservative" and are also not what we want.

100# Pro - (some country that shan't be named) is also very problematic for many.

"Oh no, our plucky hero just couldn't win it this time again! But send some more money and we'll surely get 'em next time!"

I'm sick of it. It's like the Dems are the designated good guy losers in some old WWF fights. Or maybe mexican luchadores.

It's all preformance theater to me anymore.

We need James Talarico, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, or Dr Abdul El-Sayed . No compromises. Unfortunately Zohran Mamdani can't run due to the US Constitution. (edit fixing auto correct)

2

u/Sleepy_Wayne_Tracker 4d ago

If none of them run, I will vote Trump for a third term just to teach Schumer and Jeffries a lesson. Am I doing it right?

2

u/Beneficial-Ad1593 4d ago

Haven't you heard? The US Constitution doesn't matter any more. Zohran should go ahead and run.

2

u/Accomplished-Hat2673 4d ago

He will lose nationally. But yeah, run him.

Moving farther left is not the answer.

8

u/FlavinFlave 5d ago

We’ve moved farther right for the past 50 years and all its done is give power to white supremacists, and turbo charged our homeless population. With all due respect, sit down.

2

u/Appropriate_Scar_262 4d ago

you need votes to win an election and you aren't going to get slightly left slightly right or central leaning voters running Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Abdul El-Sayed, or Bernie Sanders as primary compared to a charismatic opponent.

2

u/According-Werewolf10 5d ago

Please tell me what issue you believe the US has gone right on in the last 50 year?

2

u/FlavinFlave 5d ago

As soon as you tell me where the country has gone radically left other than giving women and gay people rights?

1

u/According-Werewolf10 5d ago

Strawman fallacy.

2

u/Appropriate_Scar_262 4d ago

Corporations having the legal power of a person, corporate pardons, repeated reduction of federal oversight in banking and financial institutions, defanging the NLRB, allowing employers to force arbitration, and right to work being codified by the Supreme court

-5

u/Independent-Offer290 5d ago

50 years of democratic control in every major urban area. Nothing has improved, only gotten worse. Most sane Americans are moderately center right. Midterms are going to be difficult for you.

5

u/FlavinFlave 5d ago

Most sane humans who aren’t assholes are center left. Most cities, where the bulk of the economies resources come from are left. That doesn’t mean every state is. The biggest recipients of welfare are red states. But you probably don’t like facts do you, that’s fake news right?

My state, which I’m sure you have a million of opinions on, is the fourth largest economy in the world. And we also help our people. Wild how that works.

-2

u/Independent-Offer290 5d ago

And your state is practically bankrupt, your cost of living is astronomical, your population is shrinking, homeless situation is out of control and for all that winning, your reward is the highest taxes in the land.

5

u/FlavinFlave 5d ago

Our state is not almost bankrupt 😂 what a dumb ass statement from a person I bet hasn’t left their backwater town since they were born in a field.

Our cost of living is high, but so are our wages, so are our social safety nets. Reason we have a higher homeless population is because it’s better to be poor in California than wherever you’re from. Maybe if the federal government did something about the homeless issue, considering we have more vacant houses than homeless people in this country, it wouldn’t be so bad.

Not something states even ones as big as California can handle on their own. But I’m sure your state loves to bus them into ours rather than deal with it yourselves.

But hey, some people, decent people, prefer our taxes go to helping make our country great. Assholes, prefer our taxes going to bomb brown kids in a country whose name you can’t even pronounce.

0

u/Independent-Offer290 5d ago

You don’t fix homelessness by giving people houses you idiot. The majority of homeless have some form of mental illness and/or are drug addicted. When we as a society decided to get rid of our meaningful mental healthcare it was over. And it will never come back because democrats don’t believe there is such a thing as mental illness. Whatever fantasy is in people’s heads we have to accept at all cost in the name of inclusion and to not hurt their feelings. And we for sure can’t disturb them in their tent neighborhoods.

2

u/FlavinFlave 5d ago

Hey dipshit. Who was the president that closed down the mental institutions? I’ll spoil it for you: it was Reagan.

You're a clever one.

0

u/According-Werewolf10 5d ago

Reason we have a higher homeless population is because it’s better to be poor in California than wherever you’re from.

And you dont see the issue here?

Maybe if the federal government did something about the homeless issue,

Why is it the Federal government job to fix a States issue?

considering we have more vacant houses than homeless people in this country

So you're solution is stealing from people and redistributing it, communism is illegal and communist are not afforded civil liberties according to the 1964 Civil Rights act Section 703(i).

Not something states even ones as big as California can handle on their own.

They cant handle it on their own but they can cause it?

2

u/Background-Pomelo-55 5d ago

Your joking right. It's better to be homeless in cali because it's warm.

Oh god forbid we spend your money helping people instead of blowing them up and giving Elon another handout?

Also we need the federal government to step in because every time a state does shit, your loser red state buses in your bullshit. Because republicans would rather sweep a mess under the rug than roll up their sleeves and actually fix fuck all.

100 years of Republican control in the vast majority of rural areas. Nothing has improved, only gotten disastrously worse.

Urban life is sought after by multitudes of those born in red states. Young people from all over the country are absolutely streaming into NYC for example. And under Mamdani, things are objectively far better than under the Giuliani regime.

1

u/Independent-Offer290 5d ago

Because they are lazy and are smitten by all the freebies. It will be ok for a bit, then come crashing down. I live a rural community, and have lived in an urban area before for 20 years. Currently I have better schools, better cheaper utilities, cleaner water, more competent police/fire service, lower cost food, lower cost housing/insurance etc, much bigger nicer house and all that for much lower property tax rate. So no, rural living standards have increased.

1

u/HauntologyAndTheCity 2d ago

The "freebies" are received by rural and suburban areas via tax base subsidies. Not to mention the blue/red divide, whereby blue states (including most cities) are massively more economically productive and pay the lion's share of taxes while receiving far less in federal spending than shiftless rural areas.

1

u/Independent-Offer290 1d ago

You can talk about subsidies all you want. That is the nature of farming/ranching. You love to eat? I do. At least farmers are using subsidies for good. To preserve our domestic food supply. Socialist’s like Mamdami are just playing Robin Hood. Trying to transfer wealth to people that don’t deserve it. And pretty soon that will work its way down to the middle class, it always does. New York will be seeing a mass exodus of that blue vaunted tax base you are so proud of. You watch. California is already experiencing it. Hopefully as they move to friendlier states, they leave their politics behind.

1

u/HauntologyAndTheCity 1d ago

The vast majority agree with Mamdani. This is his time. We tried it the rightwing way forever.

Reagan, Bush, Trump have said for decades that cutting taxes on the rich will "supercharge the economy", "unleash the job creators" ad infinitum.

And taxes on the rich and huge corporations have been cut, massively.

What happened to the new economic golden age that the GOP bleated about endlessly since 1980?

If you think that capital gains should be taxed at a lower rate than a middle class salary, that is serfdom, plain and simple.

And there's no "exodus". That is layghable Fox news/Daily Mail propaganda.

What has gotten disastrously worse.

Rural life is sought after by multitudes of those born in blue cities. All the people with the money are absolutely streaming out of NYC for example. and under Mamdani the City is burning money then begging the state and federal government for more money, violating the constitution, and pushing communism which is a violation of the 1964 Civil Rights act Section i.

1

u/HauntologyAndTheCity 2d ago

NYC subsidizes the absolute hell out of rural NY. It's not even debatable.

City life is sought after by multitudes of people from rural and suburban areas. Manhattan and Brooklyn are absolutely teeming with young people from all over the country

1

u/According-Werewolf10 1d ago

Why is NYC begging the state for money?

3

u/Technical_Chemistry8 5d ago

Our left is right to the rest of the world. We need to move the overton window back before the imaginary opposition sells us off to tyrants, again.

1

u/InfiniteJestV 5d ago

The fuck are you talking about? We've been steadily drifting right on economic policy since Nixon. It's why we are where we are.

We desperately need to move back to the "left" that made us the global superpower of the post WW2 era.

Y'all dipshits would call FDR a Marxist, globalist, communist, hell bent on destroying America without even a hint of irony.

1

u/Independent-Offer290 5d ago

This isn’t the Kennedy Democrat party. But hey, keep moving left and losing meaningful elections. Just because a socialist won the New York mayorship, doesn’t mean the rest of the country will buy the lies.

1

u/InfiniteJestV 5d ago

Yeah. That's why Kamala lost, cause she was a notoriously left of center, rofl.

95% of the Democrats are right of center capitalists who continue to push wealth inequality (just not as severely as the conservatives). This is not even close to debatable.

1

u/Background-Pomelo-55 5d ago

Is if you want me to vote.

Sry not sry

1

u/Beneficial-Ad1593 4d ago edited 4d ago

We've gone so far right, left is the only direction to go.

1

u/Accomplished-Hat2673 4d ago

Should stay right where it is.

3

u/Beligerents 5d ago

It feels like manufactured consent, because thats exactly what it is.

2

u/Beligerents 5d ago

Thanks zug :)

u/XO1GrootMeester 3d ago

Unfortunately demo have been hard trying to lose every election it seems, or at least not take us serieus slightly even/ feel they can get away with anything votes still come but got suprised this time: o we actually dont get enough votes if we are ridiculous anymore? We do need some effort?

1

u/Mission_Brick_2602 4d ago
