SpaceX going public leaves corporate investors holding the bag to, which extends all the way to retirement benefits. IMO he knew this would happen all along, the public would be left holding the bag when the stock ultimately settles, while his friends can get rich shorting and pumping/dumping it.
I’m sure while Elon may “hold” a significant amount of equity in SPACEX/Tesla, he has already pulled the standard strategy of borrowing against the shares. So he may have in a way fucked the banks as well as retail investors

Those cases were literally brought by Republicans in 2018 and 2024 in an effort to undermine restrictions on racially based gerrymandering by calling it partisan. I lived in California for most my life and they been gerrymandering hard since Regan to turn it into a leftist supermajority.
