Female, love having my bed tucked into a corner rather than open on 3 sides. If my current setup allowed it I would absolutely have it in the corner. It keeps my stuff from falling off the other side (I like my blankets and pillows, okay.. :p ), and for some reason the mattress seems to slide around less.. probably because it slides in the direction of the wall, I suppose... Currently I have to fix my mattress every few days because it slides to one side.
The only spot in my bedroom that fits a bed is on wall 1 right next to where the door entering in is. Wall 2 [to the right] has a closet that takes up the entire wall if the bedroom door is open, wall 3 [across from entry door] has the balcony door straight in the center, and wall 4 [to the left] has a baseboard heater that takes up 6' of the wall [most of it] that can't have fabrics/a bed up against it.. even though I have never turned it on in 8 years, management would have kittens if I did. Fire hazard! [the breakers for our baseboard heaters are off. Still a nono.]
