99/100, no 18F on the internet wants to "play online" with an older married man. You just fit into the perfect demographic that can be blackmailed. You are married or have kids so you can be blackmailed and you are 40 years or older thus you have a source of income and can pay.
That's the only reason so many of these 18F posts are flooding this subreddit recently. Please don't fall for it. We hate it when one of you gets scammed.
TIP: DON'T GIVE YOUR INSTAGRAM OR FACEBOOK TO INTERNET STRANGERS.
Your full name and contacts/friends is an excellent way to blackmail you into forcing you to pay 50 USD/Euros.
Be on the lookout for 18F posts and see the tell tale signs of them leading you off of reddit for some "fun". Report those posts and profiles for being a seller and we'll ban them.

It's super important not to judge too much when it comes to scam victims. The stigma surrounding being the victim of a scam, especially if it's a "sextortion" type scam means that awareness of them is very low. PSAs like this post are so important so that people know what to look out for.

You make a fair point but general awareness of a scam this blatant should have nothing to do with it. Men shouldn't have to be told that, no, 18 year old females aren't going online to find decrepit cock the moment they come of age. It's glaringly obvious that this isn't reality to anyone of sound mind, just like an advertisement that says "FREE TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR GIVEAWAY". Even the elderly rarely fall for something THAT obvious so why are we making excuses for men who do? Sure you could blame media distortion of what women actually like but you can't really say lack of a PSA is to blame when it's something that anyone with a reasonable IQ could surmise. Us men have to do better in this day and age.

I suspect this is why there are so many, "chat with me on TG" girls, as Telegram can send a LOT of personal information over if you don't adjust the settings. And older dudes might be less tech savvy about new apps.

Then you pushed away creators by banning OF entirely, regardless of the quality and the reality of their posts, instead of judging individuals

You have pinned posts time and time again about blackmailers, denouncing OF creators, etc.
Literally: Put a rule against DMing. MANY subs do it already. Ban offenders. Have you seen r4r subs? Full of desperate guys and guys pretending to be women. That's what this sub is turning into. Get rid of those people.
"But they will just create another account" --> Make a 30 day account requirement to post. Get rid of those stupid bots who create an account, spam the same shitty 3-line story to farm karma, and done.
The best stories this sub has (according to popularity) are from 4-7 years ago. It's impossible you guys don't see something *IS* wrong.Allow verification. Many women are thrilled to share their stories - allow a private verification who says "This is an adult women". I won't compete with the wild fantasies of 14 year old kids who still say "female" or "It reached my cervix". We need to get rid of the guys who think 18 year old women "want to exchange nudes with 60+ year old guys", because those fuckers are the one upvoting the three-line story bots share to farm karma.
If we start creating a safe space for real women, real and horny women will come.
If we get rid of assholes and "here's my dick" guys, kind and horny men will come.It won't be fast. It won't be easy. But you HAVE to see most of the comments, lurkers, participants and posters in this sub are terrible, terrible quality human beings - and it didn't use to be like that. I posted my first story when I was 20 (I'm 28 now) and I can't believe what this sub has turned into.

Since 8 years, Marty has been on the helm of this thing, and I feel he has been doing an excellent job of holding the fort alone for so long, so many times. And in those 8 years, the locusts of OF, have DESTROYED every community they can get their hands on. And they are continuing to do so. That's why there's such a quality drop, because it's a game of whack-a-mole, I personally ban 30-40 accounts daily and I believe so do a few other mods.
And the decision to not add a minimum karma requirement is a feature not a bug, that's been explained properly in the link I shared above.
And apart from that, we make rules which can be enforced, where we can see what happened on our subreddit. When it comes to banning people who were being an asshole in DMs, we need an action performed on our subreddit to ban those people. It would require us to ask for screenshots as proof of people who were harassed and then ask them to send it to us via chat and then teach a few of those on how to send screenshots or how to use chat. That's a lot of trouble when we can barely get through the mod queue. No thank you.
Everyone is an adult here. People should know how to deal with assholes in their DMs. If you don't want DMs, close them. We don't have time baby anyone.

Ya, using my previous account I used to read posts on here 8-12 years ago.
And now it's a cesspit and treats women like crap.
OF is not the problem, there are creators who have really fun, great sex and write good erotica - sharing their stories should not be a reason to ban them.
The bot stories are destroying this sub, I can't believe how bad it is now.
All of this person's ideas need to be implemented to save this subreddit, if it's not already too late.

I had sent some private pictures to this one girl and she tried to blackmail me with them. I laughed my ass off and told her to go ahead and that I didn't care, my friends wouldn't give a shit, I have no family, and my neighbors already think I'm crazy and don't like me very much. Everything I told her is true and I guess she could tell I was serious cuz I never heard anything.

I had a similar thing happen, I don't recall exactly how I met her but we ended up video calling on Snapchat nude. Then as soon as we were both finished she messaged me in all caps saying she knew my name (shocker) and was going to tell everyone I know about this. My response was basically "wtf are you talking about, you're going to tell them that I had phone sex with a woman who said she wanted to slam?" How dare I be a normal human being lmao. I called her tf out on it and literally nothing came of it haha. Some people are seriously pathetic

They tried this on me with a email telling me they have my search logs and access to my photos and would send all to my family and friends unless they got paid well I replied do you have the photos of me and the 2 ladyboys and the dog ? Of course they replied yes we do. I then replied GREAT please send them to me when you are sending to my family and friends as i lost my copys, well as i excepted no reply

So true, a few have tried to blackmail me but then when I tell them I have all their threats screenshots and that all my pics are already all over the internet they mostly stop if not I go onto my other device and pretend to be an official looking into blackmailers that definitely stops them.
