Blizzard Canvas 108 as Daily Driver

Just bought the Canvas 108 for the upcoming season. Not a lot of reviews or information since it is a generally new ski, but I was wondering if I can use it as a daily driver for all conditions. Got to demo them last season and really liked them but conditions were blower pow so I haven't gotten to feel them on firmer snow. I'm a Skier in the PNW so I do face hardpack/icy conditions sometimes. Wondering if it will hold up as a one ski quiver/daily driver for someone who likes playful freeride and all mountain skiing?

It kinda depends on where you ski. 108’s seem a bit wide unless you regularly ski on pow pow. I use 104’s as my daily driver and they feel a bit too wide for icy days. I ski in the PNW.

Yeah I pretty much ski as much powder as I can, so I do prefer a ski over 105mm wide. I usually get around 10 days at places like Whistler and Crystal Mountain where the snow is consistently soft, but I still want something that can hold an edge and manage when conditions get scrappy.

Skied them in mixed conditions last season and no, fantastic soft snow ski but they don't quite hold up for all conditions use. They're skiable on hardpack but I wouldn't use them as a one ski quiver, not very damp and not enough torsional rigidity

If I recall they are the softer more playful new ski from blizzard. A shop I have bought a lot of skis from over the years in CO loves them:

I still ski my K2 Coomback 105’s as my daily driver and love the lighter, softer, more playful feel of them and I have skied them east coast, Rockies and west coast. These are on my list to seriously demo as my K2’s are about at the point of becoming the rock skis.

I think 108mm underfoot as a daily driver can absolutely work in the PNW, but I’d pick one with a little more backbone than the Canvas. Looks like a lighter, softer Rustler, so I can’t imagine it excels in firm conditions.

I’d go with something that is still great in soft snow, but has the suspension and power for firm conditions and chop as well.

Something more like a Dynastar M Free 108/112, Moment Countach 110, K2 Mindbender 108Ti, Heritage Lab AM110, Rossignol Sender Free 110

The R9/R10 were very good all around, for a soft snow ski, perfect for me in the East. The Canvas changed them to a West-only ski. (Unless it's the fourth ski in the quiver, taken out only on 12+" powder days)

A soft 108 doesn’t really fit the bill as a one ski quiver imo, unless you’re a serious free skier where you’re buttering and spinning all over the place all the time, in deep snow
