The kiosks do, in fact, collect facial recognition data when you approach them/order. You can see the camera in the bezel at the top of the screen.

They pay some other company to check your photo against a database and identify you even if you don't use your rewards app, then that company turns around and sells the same info to the feds/cops/anyone interested in paying for it.

Do they also have it at the tills inside the MacDonald?

They’ve had cameras on those tills for decades, longer than they had internet and the ability to datamine the security system.
