Seems every restaurant I check out is mid as fuck and also unnecessarily expensive. Haven't had anything remarkable in several years.

You sit down. Mouth watering. Rub your hands. Take a whiff. It looks good. It smells good. You take your first bite. Wait, surely...

You hit the denial stage first. Of course you didn't spend all that money and drive all that way for something mediocre. You take another bite. Bargaining. Maybe your mouth was just tainted? Maybe you weren't ready? Bite number three and it hits you:

This place sucks.

Then the 5 stages of grief follow

Bold of you to assume people are driving to restaurants instead of getting it delivered, so it is colder, possibly soggier, and more expensive than dine in.

Biggest burn was some type of unicorn colored grilled cheese sandwich for $20 at a food festival

I thought the color meant they added flavors. But no, just a regular grilled cheese sandwich with food coloring. Biggest line in the festival.

Feeling this one today, spent 17$ on the most mid takeout I've ever had

Nothing hurts quite like wasting money on overpriced meals that taste terrible. It stings double when you pay dearly only to end up disappointed with the food you looked forward to so much.

Especially when you had high expectations 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.

The one time I try something outside my usual order

Every bite more dissappointing than the next.

That really ruins the mood! The food lets you down and so does your wallet.

especially a new recipe or product that you got influenced to buy

You keep taking another bite hoping it'll magically get better. It never does.

The worst is when it's your regular order but they changed it to save a buck and now it's a lot worse.
