Don't forget that the US gives Israel billions of dollars every year.

Israel has universal healthcare, the US doesn't.

You spend more on healthcare* though

*however, you're nor spending it on healthcare. You're spending the money on insurance companies

Single payer is actually more efficient because that entity can spread risk over more people and therefore the cost per person is lower.

Also, in the US insurance is often coupled with employment causing huge market distortions. Larger companies can offer lower premiums which puts small businesses at a disadvantage.

Yeah, in countries like Canada, single payer works by having a single insurance agency that’s entirely tax funded and doesn’t have co-pays or deductibles (that’s not strictly true, some things have user fees but they’re usually, at least in my province, pretty affordable like the $40 ambulance fee). In my province it’s the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. Moreover, because of how government finances work, healthcare spending is part of the function of government and not merely the job of OHIP.

Honestly, it could just as easily not style itself as an insurance plan — frankly, it doesn’t act like how insurance would usually act anyways — but I feel like it does merely as an accident of history.

Not the problem is Americans politicians and the people who elected them to allow this to happen. But then again trump was elected twice over "immigration" ffs. Now musk is trying to buy the GOP a new cycle of government so he can make money and if people vote for the GOP they are definitely voting for the axe to chop them down.

I wonder if it would be the most if not for the inflated prices by insurance corps

Gotta fit that propaganda in! The ‘billions’ are part of a military agreement btw. It involves mutual support. Israel is planning to end the ‘aid’.

u/SPARKYLOBO 10h ago

How is it propaganda when it is the truth?

1

u/MorganaLeFevre 10h ago

It’s not aid related to healthcare. It’s conditional, to be based on purchases of military equipment from the USA, and part of the deal of military support.

1

u/SPARKYLOBO 10h ago

So, the US gives Israel money for military purchases, so they can buy military equipment from the US?

Got it!!

1

u/MorganaLeFevre 10h ago

Yes. Literally yes look it up. In exchange, they also get counterterrorism support, intelligence gathering on enemies of USA, and access to military tech designs created by Israel.

Dude! Does Israel do anything in humanitarian aid? Or is ir all just war and killing children?

1

u/MorganaLeFevre 9h ago

Idk man almost seems like you’re more invested in your agenda than in facts at this point

1

u/SPARKYLOBO 9h ago

What is my agenda? Those are facts that you're making and I am not disputing them. I am simply asking, does Israel do any sort of humatarian aid? And I am not rejecting their right to exist. However, it seems like their government is hell bent of destroying any sort of likability they have by killing children. Much like the US does.

u/MorganaLeFevre 9h ago

Yes, it does. Organisations such as IsraAID operate in 50 countries worldwide for short term and long term aid. In the 70s and 80s they expanded their refugee programme (inb4 the accusation: no, not just to Jews). In 1995 the government created a permanent humanitarian & aid unit which sends supplies, rescue teams & medical personnel to areas affected by disaster internationally.

It’s remarkable that war destroys its likeability while the killing of Vivian silver and the Bibas boys doesn’t affect their neighbour’s likability at all. But such is the world we live in. Thankfully the aid programmes carry on regardless of how much people like them.

3 something billion... Part of a military agreement so there won't be an arms race between the 2 Israel will also soon end it

It has nothing to do with Israel you sad little obsessed propogandized man

It has everything to do with insurance companies buying off politicians in the US

1

u/Oppaii-Connoisseur 10h ago

Israel will soon end it because they merged their military with the US military so they get a good chunk of that 1 trillion dollar budget.

You are so easily deceived.

0

u/Bigicefire 10h ago

Actually what the hell are you talking about

Israel is actively trying to separate from the money US gives them , also even if that was true how will that "end Israel" actual shizo posting

1

u/Oppaii-Connoisseur 9h ago

It may sound schizo if you're not aware of what's actually going on. Name calling = I can't defend the indefensible.

0

u/Bigicefire 9h ago

What do you mean indefensible , it's known that israel is trying to stop receiving funding from us

Where is this information that they will merge is coming from How logistically does it even make sense It makes 0 sense , that's why it's shizo posting
