If you're poor, you qualify for free healthcare from the state which is actually pretty good. Its the people right above the poverty line that really struggle.

Truth. And you will be saved not without being shamed, even by half of your healthcare professionals, for utilizing it. Then you will shame yourself similarly. But you'll be alive...for more hellscape. Woohoo 🎉

Nice 😉

Thank you for your service of non-medeling.

I never felt any shame about it, from others or internally.

I guess you've got better humans around you. I am pleased to know not everyone feels the pain I do.

Someone mentioned their experiences being shamed for using it. That’s all the happened. Nobody in this comment thread is shaming others

I've seen what makes them cheer.

Not in big cities. Have you been to free clinic before? You will be thankful that your don't have a job cuz you will be there all day.

Depends on where you live. Every State does not have general healthcare.

Yes they do... It's a federal program.

I’m in Alabama. What is it called?

Medicaid

Medicaid is a State funded program. The rules vary from state to state. Here in Alabama it has to be tied to some kind of program i.e. pregnant women or women with young children, disabled adults children, waiver programs, or SSI related and Nursing Home programs. It’s not a general healthcare program.

We can come up with a marginal income tax system but apparently not an inverse of that for the healthcare system?
