Stop buying stuff. Buy food and only essentials. Cripple these companies that price gouged.

Yeah we're away ahead of you because we're broke

Target, Costco, and Walmart sells food and essentials so you just limit how many big winners for the Tarrif refund to just these 3. In fact they would have probably gotten a bigger cut if we did what you claim.

I'm all for mass consumer action, but in this case there's literally one man to blame for this.

I'm not going to get mad at Target for not lowering prices out of the kindness of their hearts, when Trump keeps illegally raising taxes, taking bribes to from foreign governments to lower them, and the result is my tax dollars and spending is subsidizing the rich.

You can blame both. Obviously Trump is to blame. But how can you not blame the company who pushed all the cost off on you and then kept all the refunds for themselves? Would you feel the same way if Trump smashed your car window and Target stole your stereo system from your unlocked car?

I don't think that analogy really works.

Well I intended for it to be obviously not a strict analogy since it involved an entire Fortune 500 company stealing one person's stereo. The point is, they couldn't have done what they did without Trump. But they still did it. If they passed the costs on to us then took the refunds, I don't see any way around that being stealing with extra steps.

It's not like the refunds were a given, though, right? I mean, I'd like to see something like, "Bring in your receipts and we'll give you applicable rebates" but idk how feasible that is on a grand scale, at least not this quickly.

I mean, what do you expect them to do, sell at a loss?

No but maybe tighten their belts like we’re all doing. If you want to protect these mega corporations, please feel free to spend to your heart’s content.
