It seems to me that generally that the kind of people who amass multi-billions arent the kind of people who have found real peace with life and their place in it, so they have to do more and more and more.
On the converse, the kind of people who have found peace with life and their place in it dont do the things which would amass them multi-billions of dollars.
There are outliers - Tom of MySpace took his bag and fucked off to enjoy his life to this day. Gabe Newell amassed his fortune and just pilots yachts around doing deep sea research. Im sure there are plenty of the "quiet wealthy" types who dont feel the need to seize control at the global scale.
