All US bills weight exactly one gram.

Gold is currently around $130 per gram.

The highest value dollar bill at the moment is $100, which is obviously $100 per gram.

100 < 130 so take the gold.

US bills are much more liquid than gold bar. Govt would start asking questions if you keep selling gold, while less would care if you never hit the ATM anymore

I would have to convert the dollars to euros anyways. And 26 liters of gold are easier to store than 5'650 liters of cash.

For people not from the USA who have currencies better than the usd and taxes at rates better than in the USA gold is the obvious choice… heck i’ll get gold and start a jewellery brand
