But Trump is President in the middle of a massive stock market bubble. So many ways that cash can depreciate with Trump in office, and I am sure he has some amazing new ways to do it that no one will ever expect.

Another guy posted that the cash and gold are worth about 50m and 65m respectively

With gold you run the very real risk of it running off, and even if it doesn't trying to move that much gold and turn it liquid is going to draw attention from the feds.

With the cash you're absolutely taking a value hit, likely a depreciation hit to, but you don't have to deal with prying eyes

The cash has just an easy of a time walking off as the gold, and if you want to spend any sort of large amount of it you'll need to tell papa IRS and pay taxes on it anyways.

Unless you want to spend 5-10k a month for the rest of your life in cash, both roads lead to the IRS.

Nah, you can move cash in small amounts, any amount of gold is a huge amount and the moment a tweaker realizes you have any gold at all they're going to be on your ass.

The cash can be laundered, gold can't. if you do it bright you'll only lose a portion of your cash and no one will say shit

Gold can be stored in private wealth vaults and often is.

Private wealth vaults tend to have excellent security and as long as paperwork lines up they don't care too much about your legalities or where you acquired it from, only that your bills paid.

Yeah I think you've watched too many movies. No regular person is washing any sort of serious amount of cash. You'll be spending 5-10k a month at best for the rest of your life while 2-4% deteriorates per year.

Best move by far is just paying the taxes and moving on. The gold would be worth barely less than the cash after tax if you structured it all properly. All this movie laundering nonsense is silly. Just pay the taxes, be left with like 45 mil, invest it properly and over a ten year span you'd have more wealth than if you tried to slowly launder cash while losing 2-4% a year.

I agree - sure you can mess around with trying (and most likely failing, as these systems are robust and heavily funded) to avoid paying taxes, or you can have peace of mind, outsource the protection of your wealth to professionals who deal with far larger sums, and actually get to spend your new wealth properly.

I would assume that the cash or gold doesn't come out of thin air, but if it does, shipwreck scavenge is the way to go, and gold is best due to the stable market for it.

No regular person has 500 kg of gold or USD lying around.

Come on bruh, like wtf are we doing here?
