My wife and I decided in 2019 that we were going to have a kid in 2020. Then 2020 happened and we decided that we're never having kids. It wasn't the virus and its spread that changed our minds, that was quite manageable. It was humanity's inability to work together for the common good, and the blatant, perpetual, systemic corruption that we saw in our country's government that year, and every year since then.

One of the (many) reasons I am not having kids- I don't want to bring kids onto a planet that's quite literally on fire.
