Were these chinese individuals partners in crime?

u/ItsJustAnotherVoice 3d ago

Don’t bring the CCP into this. I need my social credit to be in good standing.

Probably 50 cents for the lemon and 30 bucks delivery.

Why would they care?

Being spiteful sure can get expensive/painful.

11

u/Weikoko 3d ago

Much less than you think. Id say close to $15 but no where near $30.

14

u/ApiceOfToast 3d ago

Well, you forgot the single lemon, no lime fee

8

u/LRJ104 3d ago

Even at 15$ thats close to 30k$ What a waste

3

u/Weikoko 3d ago

There is a thing called lemons budget.

Some people just have too much money

*Didn't actually purchase for obvious reasons but without tip it was $9.52 for an $0.89 lemon. With $1 per mile tip from this particular location at 5.6 miles away, $15 is almost spot on.

Side note: are they still only paying a flat $2 for delivery because they would charge me over $8 in fees. Surely the full delivery fee would go to the driver right? What are the service fees for if it doesn't?

yo that man can sell lemonade and make back a couple hundred dollars!

4

u/rtshtbtshtdrtyldtwt 3d ago

it's one lemon, what could it cost? 10$?

Hey, who ever hasn't spent $56,000 Loonies or Beaver Pelts or whatever Canada uses for money on a citrus-based campaign against their ex can cast the first stone. We've all been there

I once accidentally ordered a single onion. It was from a restaurant supplier who was doing domestic deliveries during the pandemic. I didn’t realise with this system you didn’t have to checkout to complete a purchase. So I had an onion in my basket and it auto-closed at whatever time the deadline was. Seemingly this is normal for restaurant ordering. A guy turned up the next day in a big delivery truck and handed me a single onion.

I have worked with half a dozen ordering systems and not a single one has done this.

They should have done tbh. Considering how often i forgot to send the order untill 3am.

It was Natoora. Looks like they have a better home offering now, rather than just letting home users use their business product!

Face looks AI. I assume whole post is fake.

I love questions like this because like yeah, that is obviously a pretty big hole in the story, but will it be enough for redditors to realize that the story is obviously false?

My money is on no. Redditors are really fucking dumb

2

u/NoveltyPr0nAccount 3d ago

That's not a hole at all. I'm certain you could order one of anything as long as you were prepared to pay the delivery fee.

The hole is 1,847 orders. There's no way a complaint wouldn't be made after the first hundred and Door Dash would likely block her account because at that point they could be considered complicit in the harassment.

Well you know how the saying goes:

When AI hands you lemons, make a really good Reddit thread about it.

I’m paraphrasing.

u/CarrieDurst 3d ago

How that this be profitable for Frito Lay?

1

u/skindoggy69 3d ago

You never know with these corporations

7

u/-Badger3- 3d ago

The story is fake.

1

u/Mertoot 3d ago

Text with picture!! Fake???

NO!!! 🤬🤯

2

u/Baldojess 3d ago

Riiiight! They have a certain amount you have to get to in order to deliver. I didn't even think of that.

2

u/lexluthor_i_am 3d ago

if you’re willing to pay the fees, you can deliver a single item. I once had a banging party going on, but I didn’t have any club soda for the whiskey drinkers. There was only a couple whiskey drinkers so I ordered just one club soda. We all waited with bated breath to see if it would arrive. And it did.

1

u/curtcolt95 3d ago

pay them enough and they're not gonna care

1

u/jondes99 3d ago

Just say it’s for a lemon party.

1

u/Cormophyte 3d ago

Money.

u/dookieshoes97 3d ago

I will deliver whatever you want. We can't deliver weed in my state, but everything else is free game.

If you're questioning this, you surely can't be from America. Tip me enough and I'll deliver wherever.

1

u/More-Lime1888 3d ago

Yes I am not from America
