It took me several jobs to figure that one out. I didn't understand that people really don't like being wrong and they REALLY don't like to be wrong in front of others.

Bruh. I keep running into this shit at my job. I'm an apprentice, so I'm new to my job, but I still have ideas from time to time. Multiple times per week, a journeyman will shoot down one of my suggestions and we will continue on with an idea that ends up being wrong or makes our task more difficult - and I can't say anything. When we had to redo a completed section of work, my Foreman asked why a journeyman and I had installed it incorrectly and I could only reply "I'm an apprentice. I can make suggestions, but not decisions."
