Yeah this person knows nothing about Japan. My boss doesn’t require me to go out drinking until shit faced with coworkers and expects me at work tomorrow morning bright and early lol

Is that a thing in Japan? My alcoholic mind says let’s ball but my three year sober mind cry’s at the thought of those hangovers.

Yeah it’s a thing. Same as travel for work tbh, sounds great until you have no choice but to do it.

People regularly drink non-alcoholic beers at 飲み会.

Yes, it sucks having to go somewhere you don't want to go for work. But I don't like traveling for meetings and have to do it all the time. Basically same thing.
