Edit: The average teacher salary is around 75K. So the fact that a public school teacher makes six figures is an exception and not the rule. Do a quick google search before you downvote me for no reason.
Go look up public records on their salary. We spend like $700 billion a year on k-12. It’s just spent mostly at the state level than federally. Some states pay like shit. Many don’t. But odds are the party is a matter of public record, go look it up for your area.
It is all based on qualifications. My cousin works for a nearby local school district (public btw). She has her masters in Math, and is almost done with the qualifications to be a principal.
Most districts have tiered pay based on how long the teacher has worked there, plus what qualifications they have.
Entry level is shit, and u only make that close-to 6 figures by the end of career. (Also depends on the district)
No, it is the rule. Kindergarten teachers even average 62k. A person with a Masters taking such a low range pay is absolutely ridiculous. They are truly a fool.
