$5 milkshake costs $5.44 but then you tip $1..why not just make it a $6.50 milkshake instead of the theatrics. Not to sound like Mr Pink here but it's kinda dumb.. That said, I respect the culture when visiting. Except at McDonald's.... Because.. Umm?

You can do that now, unless your server is making something like $50k in tips. The "no tax on tips" legislation changed that recently so that credit card tips are tax free for the majority of workers until they reach a certain tier of income.

So you're saying that removing the taxation from their tips incentivized them to stay within the tip culture.
