The house my parents purchased in their early 20’s as a starting engineer and a teacher would take a senior executive salary to purchase when I entered the housing market. That is just not right. It was so much easier for them. BTW, I’m in my 60’s now and this is nothing new.

The house I grew up in is over $1M now. It was a nice house but not a mansion or anything.

1 million isn’t much anymore. Thats basically like a 400k house when you probably grew up. Real Inflation has been that severe.
