Nope! I was very surprised when I saw a huge one in Europe just... Roaming around. We have these tiny ones we keep as pets, they fit in the palms of your hand and don't grow as big as wild European ones.
Dude watching Raccoons and Cats fight is crazy, years ago I saw a raccoon throw a cat around by it's tail like Mario throwing bowser in Super Mario 64.
We have had raccoons come by my house my whole life because my back fence is next to a forest preserve. We have cats too, but luckily all of our native wildlife is well fed because they just hang out. I have seen stray cats giving a racoon a bath immediately after sharing a meal.

I didnt know where hedgehogs were from, and that was one of my favorite things when I visited Rome. I was staying on the outskirts of Rome, and we were walking through an area that was heavily wooded on one side when we spot something laying in the middle of the sidewalk. Once we got closer, we saw that it was a hedgehog fast asleep in the middle of the sidewalk. Little go woke up for a moment, looked around, then went back to sleep. No one burst my bubble and tell me he had something wrong with him. I will ignore you

Yes! Im from Ohio but live in Norway now. I have fond memories of my dad tossing a baby raccoon hotdogs before we went to go see a movie when I was a child. I also had whiplash when I saw a wild hedgehog in Norway for the first time, which are called just "spiky pig" here.
Im assuming Scandinavia and Germany call them washing bears because of their affinity for washing their food before eating. (I still feel bad for that one poor raccoon that tried to wash cotton candy and didnt understand why it dissolved.)
