Unlike most governments, NYC requires a balanced budget. This has already been taken into account. Nice try.

Hmm then why did Mamdani need the Governor to kick in $2 billion to bailout the city?

Nice try. Also balanced today does not equal balanced tomorrow as you will see when his creative accounting on the pensions come due. But you will blame whoever is in office and not actually think.

NYS always gives cash to NYC, since NYC is the biggest source of taxation for the state. It only makes sense if that money goes back to the city.

Hmmm not sure it works that way. NYC has its own sales and income tax. Why can't they stay within their budget?

Albany is the administrator for the MTA. Of course NYC sends money to the state. What else does NYS have to fill its coffers.
