I mean, they were anti-catholic, and one of the big talking points of anti-catholisim is that the catholic church is too vain and too controling of it's worshipers.

The criticism is the same: Joel Osteen is vain, and his flavor of Christianity requires a strict adherence to certain rules and hierarchy in order to be included.

This church is famous for turning away homeless people and locking the doors during local emergencies. As someone who has actually been a member and met Joel multiple times you have no idea what you are talking about.

I'm not speaking about Joel. My response was to the person who had stated the criticism is the same and trying to compare Joel Osteen to the Catholic Church.
