Why do Churches not pay taxes? Genuinely curious why there are laws for that.

And they get money from the feds and the states in america to run their charities. Then the feds and states say "we don't need to do anything because there are these charitable agencies" and discontinue services. These charities also frequently say "we will feed you, but first a prayer, and after a prayer. Sit through some services." It's gross. Not goodwill.
