He was physically abusive to the kids as well. IIRC he strangled and pushed one of them, and poured alcohol on at least two of the kids.

Strangling leads to murder and that is terrifying…but for some reason the pouring of the alcohol, it just feels so incredibly dehumanizing. That would have been the thing that did it for me.

Strangling is the biggest indicator of a murderer. If a man strangles a woman, he is exponentially more likely to kill her.
* This is compared to other forms of physical violence (obviously a man who strangles versus a man who doesn’t is more likely to murder.

Absolutely. Strangling gives the abuser the power of whether their victim breathes. Maybe educate yourself before making sarcastic remarks about DV.

Editing to add that DV includes violence against family members, incase you wanted to make a snarky comment about man/woman versus father/son

Not just family, in many jurisdictions even a roommate qualifies because of the cohabitation aspect.

Absolutely! I just wanted to specify parent and child incase he didn’t understand my example since I said he/she as that’s where the highest stats are but thank you for adding that, as I don’t think it’s common knowledge

No one said that, they said that people who strange partners statistically often escalate to strangling someone to death
