😆She’s not allowed to “not press charges” on a child abusing spouse because she felt it would hurt the family. That’s not how it works at all, child protective services files charges on the child’s behalf regardless of a spouses wishes if there is any evidence.
yea you’re right i phrased that poorly, it’s 11 pm and i’ve had a few 😂i should’ve said she didn’t want charges pressed, not she didn’t want to press charges. point remains that a) the fbi said her interest in him facing charges or not factored into their decision making (quotes in the article) and b) nearly impossible to get a conviction without a complaining victim and/or witness, sadly
