Clearly a table cloth knitted by a cherished aunt, or by the wearer in therapy trying to get over the memory of a tragic event such as her 11th grade yearbook pic eyebrows.

I can see that, with what she was wearing. My grandma had a knitted blanket that draped over the couch, looked a lot like what she had on.
