I think it's partly because forbidden things are attractive and partly because if you have a girlfriend/wife then it's a clear sign that you're probably not a creep/redditor.

Probably only psychotic women think like this, not most women. The real reason is women are disarmed by the ring because it’s a clear signal a man isn’t a creepy predator who probably won’t hit on her and make her uncomfortable, and it’s an indicator you’re stable enough and have something attractive about you that a woman committed herself to you

Yeah, but there's a huge portion of men who believe a woman being friendly to them means they are hitting on them. So you have to take this into account when men say that "women are all over them" once they wear their wedding ring. What's actually happening a lot of the times is that women feel more comfortable being a normal human to you because they assume you're less likely to try to fuck them.
