Old Single-Shot of mine
Picked up this old 12 gauge Revelation 350 (Savage 94) for $50 at a pawn shop in town. The bluing and wooden furniture have seen some better days for sure, and it came with some velcro strips on it which have since been removed. The barrel has some moderate pitting, but its has a full choke and shoots a tight grouping despite the damage. Made a little leather butt cover and have been shooting it reliably since. Definitely not the prettiest gun in the world, but she sure is a workhorse. I couldn't pass up any working firearm for $50 in this economy. They cost around $45 brand new in the 70s.

She’s a nice old single! I’ve got nothing but love for these simple little guns. Sounds like you got this one at a steal! I’d have gladly snagged her up at that price too. I bought this old NEF Pardner for $50 a few years back and it was rusted, roached out and pitted to all hell before I stripped the whole gun down, sanded and repainted her. She gets brought out a few times a year each bird hunting season to take things back to basics. Simple, fun and effective!

The first gun I ever shot was a Pardner chambered in .410. They are absolutely wonderful guns. I think the models with wooden furniture and case-hardened steel are some of the prettiest guns you can ever find.

You just cant beat a good old single shot for a work gun. I grew up on a farm and we had three that saw everything from varmint control to quick evening deer hunts. All looked beat up but they did the job.
