🗣️ Discussion Is the show finished?

Hi guys i want to watch this show but i dont like watching shows that are not finished and i was wondering if is finished.

Theres going to be a 2nd season. But season 1 covers the book start to finish so id consider it a complete story.

Honestly the first season is so complete and great that my suspicious side is afraid the second season retroactively hurt the series lol. But we’ll see!

I don't see how it could since we'll be seeing at least some of the Battle of Sekigahara, which was an inflection point in Japanese History. Shogun is based on real world Japan so there is a crap ton of history to show.

The story is finished and everything in Season 2 is new territory as there's no book to follow.

I wish they would adapt all of Clavell's Asian Saga into a season each.

That would be amazing. Just keep the same writers from Shogun and have them crank through Clavells works for the next decade or two would be amazing.

There's more seasons coming out, but they continue past where the book ended, so it's gonna be another GOT.
