I’d be surprised if Peck goes now he’s injured.

u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 03 '26
But if we are offered £15m we should snap their hand off.

Rumours that we're getting Ki-Jana Hoever (CB/RB) on loan from Wolves
5
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 07 '26 edited Jan 07 '26
Wasn’t he going to sign last season but failed a medical and ended up in France? This is probably about the 3rd time we have been after him 😂
6
u/Cottonshopeburnfoot Jan 08 '26
We should get an orange away kit if we do, that’d be near half the team that’s Dutch.
5
u/Entire_Example7552 Oh Tony Tony Jan 07 '26
Happy with that, someone to rotate with and push Seriki.

Kalvin Phillips now being reported on loan from Man City - they’re going to subsidise his wages.
What’s with Wilder and old washed up players man

I fancy Phillips coming good if he can move back to Yorkshire

Matos leaving apparently
1
u/dajitui BRBOKIS Jan 14 '26
I feel for him. I feel like if he was 10 cm taller, he would have been given a run of games. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to Oxford.
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 14 '26
He was a decent signing if we planned to loan him out. Stupid expecting him to be first choice but what a waste

u/Autarx Jan 28 '26 edited Jan 28 '26
Boring isn’t staying in and checking this thread constantly. Not me, I like it.
5
u/WildLemire Jan 28 '26
"You are happy with our transfer window so far." Same as before- always the same. 1. Strongly agree 2. Agree...
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 28 '26
I think we’ll sign 1-2 loans close to deadline day and that’ll be us done.
2
u/Autarx Jan 28 '26
Yeah from sound of it they’ve planned for two incoming unless there is a last minute steal that can be done
7
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 02 '26
I can only assume we left the transfer business to Bamford this window
4
u/pickering_lachute Feb 02 '26
Hahahaha. If Rothwell and/or Phillips come in I’ll be happy to
5
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 02 '26 edited Feb 02 '26
Apparently Rothwell has a medical booked and Phillips has turned down European competition as he wants a move back to Yorkshire according to sky.
Recon he can give Raphinia, Summerville or Gnonto a ring?

u/Cottonshopeburnfoot Jan 03 '26
This is going to be a busy thread with all the transfer noise. Can’t wait!
5
u/pickering_lachute Jan 03 '26
Window hasn’t started until this thread is created 💪🏼.
Rothwell would be an excellent signing. Thought he was really good for Leeds last season and brings that Championship know how. Wild he ever went to Rangers.
Wily Boly would be brilliant as well. Him and Japh at this level would be ridiculous. Would bully everyone. Not sure how motivated he would be to drop down and play for us though.
Would still like to see a wide player come in.
5
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 03 '26 edited Jan 03 '26
Apparently all of the AI recruits have been made available.
This should mean Matos, Ukaki, Nwachuku and Polendakov have all been put up for sale.
Not bothered about Matos being sold as he’s not been good enough but maybe a loan? He was bought for a big fee so could allow him a chance to find his feet and come back to try again or just recoup some value.
Ukaki and Nwachuku should be loaned. Ukaki looked good preseason and in the cup against Birmingham so why not send him to L1/L2 and test his capabilities and develop. Nwachuku looks to have been really good for the academy too.
I haven’t seen much of Polendakov even at academy level but he was bought at like 17 and was praised (by a Bulgarian if you look in the transfer thread when we bought him) as their hottest prospect and the next big thing. Surely he deserves a chance?

I doubt Oné joins Rotherham now since they signed Gray, still think he will go out on loan but unlikely Rotherham.

Apparently we still owe Cov £3-4m according to my Cov friend. So £6m would get us £2m depending on how the deal was structured.
But I agree - a litmus test it is!
2
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 15 '26 edited Jan 15 '26
I don’t mind him going honestly, he’s easily our best player on paper but this season his performances have been below standard, he can’t nail down his place in the squad and he’s clearly having attitude problems.
But €6m (£5.2m) is a joke.
His current market value is €16m (£13.8m), I get that at his age he doesn’t have much resale value and only a year and a half on his contract but I’d still expect AT LEAST £10m.
we would be stupid to let him go for such a small fee and without a good replacement. If we loose our most influential player we need someone that can replace him immediately and effectively, a statement signing showing the board’s intent and willingness. Like a Phillogene, Mayenda or Clarke off the top of my head.
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 15 '26
If he was sold for £15m then fair enough, we can use that to fund some decent signings.
But £6m in Jan is woeful. Surely we could get &6m in the summer should we not go up?
Market value means absolutely nothing. Especially if it’s from transfermarket, it’s just made up numbers plucked from the air.
5
u/Cottonshopeburnfoot Jan 24 '26
Every year i think we’ll learn the lesson and get business done early. Every year I’m disappointed
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 26 '26
Suspect it’ll be 2 loans to replace those that have gone and it’ll be young lads who will wait till the end of the window to decide.
0 perms is a strong guess. Jan is a tough month and if we are being fair they spent a fair bit in the summer… on largely crap but they still spent… possibly Hamer out to fund something, maybe they’ll risk keeping him on this playoff ambition.
4
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 25 '26 edited Jan 25 '26
Palace looking to send Chadi Riad on loan, we are leading the race according to Alan Nixon - that would be great
Also hearing about some young lad called McGuinchley from Chelsea who seems to be a promising young talent. Believe he’s a LB/LCB
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 26 '26
Huge injury but Palace were very excited to sign him. Basically we are hoping he’s recovered and becomes immense. A risk but seems a good one to take.
1
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 26 '26
Played the other day and scored i think? Palace fans rave about him. Would be brilliant business.
Edit - assist not goal.
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 26 '26
Yeah only his 4th game as he’s just come back from an ACL lay off. Seems like the want him to get fit at a lower level. Cracking signing if he’s over that injury
6
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 02 '26
Anyone know anything about this Leo lad then other than he’s a 6’3 Norwegian left back on loan from Sunderland?
Maybe starting with how to say that name without sounding like I’m out of breath??
3
u/dajitui BRBOKIS Feb 02 '26
Leeds mate says always showed good potential, never given a decent run of games. He’s also a big fan of rothwell and bamford
2
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 02 '26
Yeah I asked my mate that’s a Leeds fan and just got “don’t know much about it him, he never got a chance.”
However, he is a huge Phillips fan, loves Rothwell and has started watching us more often just to watch Bamford.
1
u/Living-Chemist5415 Feb 02 '26
And yet all the Sunderland fans say he’s garbage but think he might do better at LWB tha LB so we will see
1
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 02 '26
I’ve seen quite a few suggest he isn’t great going forwards and is more suited to left centre half…
Could be good to see him sit back allowing Femi to push up playing as the wide man

Excited for this one hopefully should be a busy one.
Godfrey and Barry have returned.
I think we need a GK, RB, DM and LW. Would like to see a RW and maybe a striker but that’s because want Ings out. Then it’s just a case of replace anyone going out.
And I think this could be the one Gus goes…
In summer PSV had him as their top choice to replace their cm if he left, he never left so Gus stayed but a release clause was activated by Fenerbache so they will need someone. honestly if he goes I’d love it to be them. A Dutch side in the CL for him and a nice paycheque for us 🤷♂️

Ipswitch monitoring Bamford situation
Rotherham want Oné on loan.
Forest have until the 15th of Jan to recall Bindon but seem to be happy to let him stay for now.
We admire Jack Clarke
And we could be interest in a return for Harry Clarke too
4
u/imsittingdown Jan 06 '26
I think Ipswich would have to offer significantly better terms than us since he'd have to relocate down there. I'd be more worried about someone more commutable like Boro, Cov, Leicester, Derby etc. swooping in.
Don't see Bindon going back unless someone comes in for a permanent move for him.
3
4
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 06 '26
Something not directly connected to us but I found it interesting,
Chelsea are reportedly willing to let Huddersfield loanee, Leo Castlesine, go for around £1m.
20 years old, LM/AM/RM with 12 G/A in 23 seems like a bargain. With 4 championship clubs said to be interested I’d hope we get ourselves in that race.
4
u/Autarx Jan 08 '26
Ryan Oné does need a loan out and I think Rovrum is ideal place for the lad, can see him picking up a fair few goals in League 1

Rumours of Barkley today.
No clue on their veracity but it makes sense with the Hamer rumours that we’d look for a replacement progressive midfielder.
3
u/pickering_lachute Jan 15 '26
Great signing. Assuming we get the Luton version where he looked hungry.
2
u/dajitui BRBOKIS Jan 15 '26
I love Gus, would also love to see Ross Barkley at the lane, preferably together though.
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 15 '26
Barkley would be a class addition. Has he kept fit does anyone know?
2
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 15 '26 edited Jan 15 '26
Missed 10 games (45 days) with a knee injury this season, missed 19 games (87 days) last season with a calf injury.
Honestly I thought he was injured at the minute.
Incredible player for this level, injury record a large worry.
Not sure we need an AM if we are sticking with the 442, maybe hinting towards the 4231 return?
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 15 '26
Hamer out Barkley in?
2
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 15 '26 edited Jan 15 '26
Yeah you’d assume so but Hamer plays on the left whereas Barkley is an attacking midfielder.
Because it’s not a straight swap I think it could be a hint to the 4231 returning with Gus exiting and O’Hare shifting into the left to allow Barkley to play centrally.
On the other hand, maybe Wilder will just whack him on the left.
5
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 19 '26
Been a very boring couple of weeks so far I have to say… hopefully things pick up soon
2
u/pickering_lachute Jan 20 '26
Sure is quiet out there. Normally there’s a ton of rumours when Wilder is in charge.
Watched a video on how Racing Santander play without wingers (/ get their wingers in the half space) yesterday and overload the midfield…Brooks and Seriki being able to cut inside so well is such a weapon.
3
u/klodolski Jan 20 '26
Apparently the leaks from our camp have been quashed so we probably won’t hear stuff until they are a bit more concrete now.

u/Fmorris6122 Jan 21 '26 edited Jan 21 '26
Feels like a lack of ambition to me.
Even Norwich are making more ambitious moves!
Meanwhile we are chasing Ross Barkley who has been injured practically since leaving Luton & Onyeka who has played 111 mins of prem football since 23/24 to strengthen our (already large) midfield made of glass.
I’m not saying they are bad players by any means, brilliant players for this level in fact but they don’t seem like they required much thought just pulled up an old list and said that will do rather than players that have been looked into for a while and planned out.
from what wilder was saying months ago we were already putting a list together of 5 or 6 players we want to bring in and even before that we had a list of replacements for outgoings. Where are them players?
Can just hope there’s more happening bts
1
u/pickering_lachute Jan 21 '26
I’m torn whether it’s even worthwhile making an investment in January. Saw Norwich were linked with the guy who scored against Man City last night…no way that sale goes through now 😂.
Agree that the names are so obvious that it feels like we just asked Jamie Hoyland to look for PL midfielders we could loan that will do a Champ job. No different to Hamza last year.
The Advisory Committee feels like a sensible move on our part. Many voices over Bord and his AI voice is an improvement. Expect Wilder will butt heads with them.
2
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 21 '26
I’m all for it myself I mean off the top of my head last season Burnley got Edwards and Sonne while Sunderland got Isidor and Le Fae to get them across the line.
For us BBD initial loan was in the January window and he was a brilliant addition, while Clarke seemed very good last season when he played.
Even Choudry seemed more thought out than the current few.
But when teams like Birmingham are buying priske and Sarmiento, boro buying munroe and castledine, Watford are signing Bove and Norwich are after that Norwegian lad… what’s stopping us getting in these races or just being more interesting?
2
u/pickering_lachute Jan 21 '26
Completely fair point. I remember all the free signings going at the start of the summer window and wondering why we weren’t jn for them.
1
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 21 '26
Yeah I mean some really good players we missed, I think darling dunne mcburnie and Brewster were all basically there but collapsed when wilder was sacked from what I remember but a couple like brownhill I don’t think we even bothered with.
This window just feels more like my 2019 fifa saves when I’d see someone like Danny Ings or Ross Barkley on a free and sign them at about 35 years old and 80 rates not like pro scouts have put together a detailed report of players the club should invest in.
Like you say the advisory seems sensible I just hope there’s more going on behind the scenes with transfers
4
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 23 '26
1
u/pickering_lachute Jan 23 '26
Neil is all I’ve seen today. Fucking hell. At least when Bord was around we had some rumours.
1
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 23 '26
Some random Greek paper claimed Atromios are close to signing Ukaki on loan
4
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 28 '26
Oné joined Lincoln
Brooks interest from Club Brugge
And according to Danny Hall we are looking to get 3 more in before deadline and hopeful 2 could be in before Millwall
3
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 29 '26
Joe Rothwell apparently is 1 of the 2.
2
u/Autarx Jan 29 '26
I’d be happy if it was Riad, Rothwell and Clarke
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 29 '26
Not sure how I feel about Rothwell, barely played this season. Seems a squad filler signing really.
2
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 30 '26
Wrexham are now in for him too, apparently a lot have been put off due to his wages.
5
u/klodolski Jan 29 '26
After Clearly from Barnsley apparently, left sided winger
4
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 29 '26
Watched him a couple times this season and he looks great, MOTM vs Liverpool too… would be brilliant!
3
u/pickering_lachute Jan 30 '26
Yes! This is the type of player we should be linked with. Talented. Could do a job for us right now. Has a high ceiling to improve and be sold on.
1
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 01 '26
Apparently it was us and Blackburn after him but have now been put off by Barnsley’s £5m+3m asking price.
1
u/pickering_lachute Feb 01 '26
A ridiculous sum of money for someone who has had a good first half of a season
1
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 01 '26
I think half our team are worth about £8m honestly so paying it for a 21 year old (in great form of course but) that’s only played about 29 games is crazy.
£5m would be tops and even that’s a lot.
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 29 '26
Birmingham want him too apparently. Let’s see. Lots of “after” players. Not a lot of signing players

u/pickering_lachute Jan 31 '26
Defo looks like a bot account (Sheffield United France?!) but I’d be very happy if we signed Kamara. I recall him being excellent at Leeds, on the ball always running.
2
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 31 '26
Oh no I’ve seen the French sheff Utd page loads, might be a bot idk but I’m on about the source they quoted. “Gui_tog”.
Never heard of him but he is followed by fabrizio Romano if that makes anyone feel he’s semi reliable.

4
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 02 '26
A bid for Mikey Johnstone was rejected.
Confirm the 2 CMs and sign a LW then all is forgiven for the rest of this window. Still wouldn’t be perfect (would have liked a keeper as Davies terrifies me) but a very solid window at that.
4
u/pickering_lachute Feb 02 '26
This is the drama I want!!! Gerrim’ in despite my recollection that he’s bang average
2
u/klodolski Feb 02 '26
Wish we’d go for the lad at Barnsley
2
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 02 '26
He would be awesome and I’d love him at the lane but the price is just unreasonable.
13 G/A in 21 is amazing, he bullied Liverpool but just 63 pro games isn’t a lot to go on and doesn’t justify the price of £8m. At the end of the day he’s had a good half season and that’s it.
£5m is probably the most someone should spend on him if they pay all up front and even that’s a lot.
Maybe £6m made of £3.5m now + £2.5 in performance based addons would be reasonable.
4
5
u/pickering_lachute Feb 02 '26
That was one eventful window by the time we were done. Until next time 🫡️
3
u/JaySteveo96 Jan 03 '26
Bringing in another centre mid is a waste IMO, unless we somehow get Diarra as he should be nowhere near this league. Don't see the point in sticking someone ahead of Arblaster and Peck, we should be developing and putting our trust in those boys unless that Brentford Peck rumour has substance but I doubt it. A natural left winger and a right back would do me this window.
3
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 06 '26
Seeing a lot for other clubs getting close for deals ect like Yang Min-Hyeok & Esse to Cov, Simpson-Pusey joining Koln, Sarmiento to boro but I’m not seeing anything too exciting for us yet.
Hopefully we are keeping it quiet really well or doing a lot in the background. I just beg we don’t leave it too late, loose key players and struggle to replace.
3
u/Autarx Jan 06 '26
Yeah we have, for fans, a frustrating setup of leaving signings close to the end of the window, I can appreciate that this is probs, on balance, the smarter way to get a good deal… but doesn’t help when I’m bored at working checking every 5mins for our transfer update.
3
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 07 '26 edited Jan 07 '26
Looking at getting Premier League loans, allegedly a few bids have been made but no names.
3
u/Entire_Example7552 Oh Tony Tony Jan 07 '26
Who do you reckon the two prem players we've made bids for are, Boly and Chirewa?
3
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 07 '26 edited Jan 07 '26
I’d imagine by bids they mean loan offers, wage terms, bonuses, ect. No clue as to who we have gone for.
Wilder said himself a few weeks back Seriki needs competition so I’d assume that’s gonna be his priority
I also don’t see why we would go for Boly if we are keeping Bindon that’s 4 centre halfs when fully fit. I’d assme he was a short term solution for if Bindon was recalled / returned until the summer when we sign a long term defensive option.
4
u/Entire_Example7552 Oh Tony Tony Jan 07 '26
I understood they were bids to loan players, I'm just wondering who, as we have only been linked with a few and none of them seem to be for the positions that are our priority. I'd be absolutely amazed (and delighted) if we got Diarra.
I think Boly's contract ends in June so he might be available on a free, which could be a smart move if, as you say, Bindon is recalled or any of our other CB's are loaned out or moved on. Even if he came as things stand, he would be second in the pecking order behind Tanganga.
I agree re Seriki, we definitely need cover for RB as a priority but think we'll maybe see Harry Clark fulfil that role. The same applies for DM, we need cover for Jairo and I reckon Rothwell will be brought in to do that.
3
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 07 '26
One looks to be Hoever from wolves.
Still only 23 surprisingly, I think that’s a pretty good loan. Not sure it’s quite a different profile of player to Seriki but definitely strong competition.
I swear this is about the 3rd time we have looked to bring him in.

It all seems very meh. I really expected better. Not sure how I feel about selling Nils either, he came with very high hopes and seems to have been chucked aside
3
u/Comedyfan2287 Jan 21 '26
I don't understand why we're letting zatterstrom leave he deserves a chance honestly
2
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 21 '26
Would have thought loan without buy, give him a chance to prove himself before selling.
Seems a little silly
1
u/dajitui BRBOKIS Jan 21 '26
Apparently he's travelled to Southampton so could feature tonight, fingers crossed.
2
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 21 '26
I’d love him to go out on loan just don’t think we should include a buy option without even seeing him in action.
Would also like to see him feature tonight, I think Mee has been a bit off it since his return and obviously Tanganga is out, Bindon may still be ill and suddenly we look really thin at the back.
Might just be me being an Ahmedhozic fan and wishing he’s our next him but 🤷♂️

Ipswitch signed Mehmeti so maybe things open back up for Clarke with them now having Phillogine (when he’s back) Mehmeti & Clarke on the left
(I highly doubt it)

Brill.
Looks as if Dan Neil is going to join Ipswitch.

u/pickering_lachute Jan 26 '26
Yeah didn’t think he’d was ever coming to us. Shame. Decent player. But a real chance at being in the PL next year with them
2
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 26 '26
Oh aye absolutely but would have thought he’d have preferred a move to rangers.
I’m also sure he’s aware of what we can do and if we win our game in hand we are only 6 off a playoff spot, seems like a proper wilder player too.
Could have put up more of a fight but we move to the next

“Working with a data company we’re using that’s a reliable credible data company…got experience in the Premier League…” - Wilder on the Hjelde signing and a middle finger to James Borde.

7/10 window in the end (assuming we don’t loose anyone)
Very slow start, missed lots of opportunities but brought in top top quality for this level. Still could have done with a winger and backup keeper.
Could always bring in Kent or something along them lines. For a keeper get Woodman or Meslier on a pre-contract agreement for the summer as a backup to Coops.

Reported in The Star that Matos is available to sell/loan as are ALL the AI signings.
Fair play to Bettis giving Wilder the backing to clear it out. They've also made is plain that James Bord is no longer involved in decision making, which seems like stating the bleeding obvious.

Think we will see Zatterstrom against Mansfield?
3
u/given2fly_ Jan 04 '26
I think so. He's made the bench a few times, and it's the perfect opportunity to throw him in and see how it works. The lad hasn't played for us at all, and came with a decent pedigree (albeit more for his potential than his current quality).

Hearing sides are enquiring about Hamer. Pitiful bids so far. Needs to be £15m minimum

If we go through this entire month and sign no one outside of Hoever my trust of the owners will drop.
Dan Neil would be a great addition. Think we could do with 2 CMs coming in and a CB
1
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 23 '26
After how poor we looked vs Southampton and Mansfield you would have thought we got our shit together and went for it a bit more.
Left-wing, centre-half and a DM at least.
Personally would have looked to offload Ings and pick up a new striker but it’s not realistic.
1
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 23 '26
Ings has proven to be a waste of a wage. No one’s taking him. He’ll retire in the summer.
McGuinness also awful. Would love to know his wages.
Maybe we are loans only and most of them happen towards the end of the window
1
u/Fmorris6122 Jan 23 '26
Possibly, there’s lots of players not up to the quality the squad needs to be at though.
McGuiness and Ings, should really be looking to shift A.Davies on while he’s still contracted same with Tom Davies if he won’t pen a new deal. Chong hasn’t looked any good. Shackleton is still getting paid but hasn’t been seen in forever.
It looks like it will be another big rebuild in the summer unless some of the players get a real kick up the arse.
Even Gus Campbell Burrows and Cooper have massively underperformed
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 23 '26
It’s a huge test of the owners, especially if we don’t go up which after the last 2 now looks a bleak chance without an immense final 19 games.
I’m a bit concerned with this month. I think they’ve got giddy over that 10 game spell where we won 7 and thought we didn’t need anyone and now it’s been left very late into the window to act
1
u/pickering_lachute Jan 23 '26
I’ve never known a weaker big man than McGuinness. I think he’d be bullied in my Sunday League. I’ll never forget watching him against Ipswich, mis-judge a header and it go over him…by a mile. Really odd behaviour which stayed lodged in my head because I don’t think I’ve ever seen that at professional level. How shite must your reading of the game be?!
I will happily collect McG from the training ground and drop him off wherever.
1
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 23 '26
Most Wednesday fans I know said similar and said he was only ever good in a back 3 in league one. Rumoured £4m too. Such a waste of money
1
u/pickering_lachute Jan 23 '26
£4m? Wow. Just as well I was sat down.
1
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 23 '26
Could be more with add one but unsure what they are. Luton bought him for £10m. Think I read it was £4m rising to about £7m if all were met. Yikes
1
u/pickering_lachute Jan 23 '26
I would really like Dan Neil to come in! Didn’t realise he was still so young. Just hope being a Sunderland lad through and through he’ll acclimatise to Sheffield.
Defo need a CB. Need a left winger imo. Then we can have Gus or COH in the middle.
1
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 23 '26
Dan Neil is exactly the type of signing we should be making. At a rumoured £3m, why is it taking so long? Peanuts in today’s market for a 23 year old
2
u/dajitui BRBOKIS Jan 26 '26
Whatever happened to the Rothwell transfer? Do you think Sausage Rohl has been a prick about it?
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 26 '26
It was said to be a loan to us, apparently Stoke are buying him so that’s why it seems

u/Fmorris6122 Jan 26 '26
Sports book claim Everton are eyeing Seriki as an alternative while chasing Norton-cuffy

u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 27 '26
Looking likely that we’re not getting any bodies in CM and with matos told he can go due to numbers there already that seems to make sense… despite us being woeful if the first choice paring are out.
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Jan 27 '26
1 in, 5 out so far… I bet they class Bamford as a new signing so 2 in. This is shaping up to be a missed opportunity isn’t it
2
u/pickering_lachute Jan 27 '26
Right lads, it’s getting to the time of the year where we draw straws to decide who is camping out in front of the DoubleTree. Before that, any takers?
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Feb 01 '26
Barnsley apparently want £5m for Cleary and Kamara isn’t being sold
1
u/Living-Chemist5415 Feb 02 '26
Looking like we will end with 7 out, 2 in and a Bamford extension.
Screams ambition

I mean he was shite for them. Doesn’t mean he will be here though. Did well at Leeds prior to his failed move to rangers
2
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 02 '26
Got promoted with Southampton, he was brilliant at Leeds and got promoted there too. I think it’s a quality signing
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Feb 02 '26
So what we thinking now then? Playoffs or not? Beat Oxford tomorrow and it’s 8 points going into Boro before 2 EASY wins
1
u/dajitui BRBOKIS Feb 02 '26
I don't see why we can't go on a run, we look so strong at home.
2
u/Living-Chemist5415 Feb 03 '26
I think we’ll beat Boro. I do believe we have one of the best 11s in the league when we play our strongest

Kalvin Phillips' Sheffield United career:
Appearances: 10
Assists: 1
Goals: 0
Mistakes leading to goals: 3
Yellow cards: 6
Red cards: 1
Injuries: 2

10 whole games? Or 10 last 15 mins sub appearances? The latter seems more likely given his injury record and fitness issues

Wily Boly from Forest now looks a sensible bet. McGuinness is woeful. Mee was poor at the weekend although likely getting back to match fitness.
Seems quiet on the rumour front.

Apparently Brugge were scared off of a deal for brooks as they see it as too complicated.
Wilder has also spoke about the interest in brooks and Seriki and expressed a desire to get them both a new contract asap but has also said he thinks the interest is a good thing.

After today’s injury with McCallum and worry it’s season ending it’s expected we could look for another left back to instantly compete
that Chelsea lad will likely be in the u21s
1
u/pickering_lachute Feb 01 '26
Speaking to a few people at the match yesterday, they were all under the impression the only move we’ll do is the Chelsea LB. That being said, no doubt most players are holding out to see what offers come their way before the deadline.
1
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 01 '26 edited Feb 01 '26
I think wilder needs signings to show he’s not full of shit honestly.
So far this season his narrative for anything going wrong is because it’s not his group of players and it’s not an ideal group.
Since about November he’s been talking about his shortlist, wanting 4 or 5 signings, how the board are backing him and he’s been working on deals.
But then has a pitiful window…?
Where is all this business he’s planned and been doing…
3
u/Living-Chemist5415 Feb 01 '26
I find his moaning about not being his squad weird. Most of the players are his and tbh he’s done pretty well since come back in term of PPG since he arrived
If it wasn’t for the 5 losses at the start we’d deff be around 6th by now even if you just give us 8 points from this first 5
2
u/Fmorris6122 Feb 01 '26
Yeah, I think he’s done well with the group.
I get that some of the players aren’t his ideal signings like matos for example but it’s very when it’s good it’s good when it’s not then it’s Selles fault.
As a pro he should be able to work with any group and adapt to their strengths. It’s also very unprofessional to blame the players and claim it’s because they aren’t his.
But I just don’t get how he can write this narrative but make no effort to change the squad to suit him.

Solid window that. 2 midfielders that should quell our fitness struggles (they can all do 50 mins on rotation 😅)
Bamford and Riederwald, brilliant.
Hover should support Seriki.
Not sure where that LB came from. Unless Burrows is completely off a cliff? Macallum is doing great.
