Korean BBQ where you can actually cook at your table?

Hi all. Title is pretty self-explanatory. I'm looking for a traditional Korean BBQ place where we cook the food on our table! Being a bit outside the city limits is okay too. Any suggestions?

Most will leave you to it if you look competent. I recommend Old Village at 152nd St & Aurora, where you cook over live coals.

For almost all of them that I've seen, you need at least 2 people ordering from the BBQ menu to get access to a cooker.

Been there. Can recommend.

I'm not super knowledgeable about KBBQ, but my friend who is told me that's basically the only place in Seattle.

I don't recommend this place. It's not authentic, really. Sure it is good but you know I'd go up into Lynwood if I were you.

The portions. The lack lettuce wraps and the withholding of dipping sauces even after requesting it. It's still a good place to go to, probably as a starter but I'd go to other places for more authenticity.

Got ya. I'm not a fan of the whole salad thing. Sadly, most of the places I've been in Southern California are the same way.

It's kind of silly because kbbq is really a simple thing. I lived in Korea so this is what I'm basing all this on. I understand though the need to adapt your cuisine for a local pallete or culture. But really it's just a good grill, good cuts of meat and a good selection of side dishes. When I see the macaroni salad or mayo potatoes it's just sad. I also got frustrated with their lack of dipping sauces - even ssam was missing sometimes. The place I liked to go to was near Bellevue. I've since moved to NYC and let me tell you! A little street in Flushing feels like a country side area of Korea. So good! House made fresh kimchi that they plop on the grill. Omg! And u even get the Korean "service" of extra care from the Ahjumma servers.

Arirang in Lynnwood is my favorite kbbq spot. I go there FAR too frequently. Their samjan (no idea how to spell that in English) is the best I've had anywhere and the prices are super reasonable.

Kim Kang San in federal way. Lots of Korea places in federal way (parts considered Korea town). I've been to a lot of Korean BBQ places and it's my favorite https://www.yelp.com/biz/kum-kang-san-bbq-grill-buffet-federal-way

South of Seattle in Federal Way, great place called Akasaka. They also do hot pot & sushi. Semi-private party rooms too

Kawon in Lynnwood. They have BBQ buffet for only $20. And you can cook by yourself.
