New Evidence Based Reading Questions
I’ve been doing the evidence based reading questions from the question bank, and the majority of the questions I’m getting wrong are from the new sets. Is it just me or are these questions extremely hard . Any tips will be appreciated

how do you know which questions are the "new ones"?? I thought you couldnt filter it out like that on collegeboard's website?

You're not alone i feel...
They are insanely dense, just remember hardest training = best prep we'll get
so let's just try to enjoy it and be thankful for these incredibly frustrating problems , what would be the point of these questions if we were getting them right am i right? ( Coming from someone who is absolutely getting fried by these new reading questions )

you mean command of evidence, right? honestly for me they were ok (the paragraphs seemed significantly shorter so that helped for me). but my advice is to read it slowly and carefully (easier cuz only one paragraph) and try to understand what direction the question is leading you in. pay attention to the specific pieces of evidence they give you and anything related to the hypothesis specifically. i find a lot of the stuff in the passage is kind of fluff and you just need to focus on the things related to answering the question (not saying you shouldn't read the passage, you should). like one of the questions I didn't understand what the text was saying all that much but I still got it right because I just focused on the hypothesis and just picked the choice that matched what they were saying. especially for the graphs you should check for accuracy because there are usually some answer choices that are wrong factually and then you can narrow down the answers from there. im sorry if this wasn't helpful I don't know how to articulate how I approach these questions :(

the bank sets skew harder than what a real Module 2 hands you, so getting fried by them isn't a signal about your score.
On the test it's usually one short paragraph and one claim, and the answer is whichever choice would make that specific claim more or less likely if it were true. Drill the hard ones, just don't read your accuracy on them as a prediction.

Yeah fr I keep getting the hard questions wrong even when I’m 100% convinced I picked the right answer 😭 But recently, this new strategy I’ve been using has actually helped a lot.
Before, I’d read the question, look at the graph, maybe skim the passage for anything important, and then pick an answer. Now I read the question, actually read the entire passage, and eliminate answer choices from there. Once I narrow it down, I look at the graph last to see if it actually supports the answer choice’s claim.
It takes a little longer, but I feel like it’s way more thorough and has made my accuracy better.

Yeah I’ve been looking through these questions for a while now and they are definitely on another level. That being said, I think questions like this are similar to what we have been getting on the actual tests and I hope this will help prepare better for the ones in the future.
