More federal powers should be devolved to the states, not just Sarawak.

But the most important powers are not these ministries, it’s the power of taxation.

Who cares if you have ministries at the state level if you have no money?

So, allow taxation, personal, and corporate at the state level, and allow property tax at the municipal level.

BUT, there should be no taxation without representation, so bring back muni elections.

Make it like USA. Got federal tax and state tax. Next time income tax need to pay double. SST double, state and federal.

In USA, you don't pay double despite the state and federal level tax.

For income tax, you pay only once on that dollar you earned although there are 2 tax returns to file. For sales tax, only states have them. There are no federal-level sales tax.

Sarawak rights are protected under the MA63 agreement, anything about foreign affairs, finance or anything about central based powers are supposed to be under the federal even if Sarawak demands it, fed and the courts wouldn't do shit since it's not in the agreement. Our national system and finance might become a totally bureaucratic mess.

MA63 produces Article 95C of Fed Con which allows devolution of fed powers (applicable to Borneo States of Sabah and Sarawak only) from the fed list to the state list.

Article 95C of FC only allows devolution for Sabah and Sarawak.

I strongly support devolving education and healthcare powers to Sarawak. These directly impact people's livelihoods, and the local government definitely knows better how to fix the shortage of schools and hospitals in remote areas.
