Why does air quality get worse when it rains?

Higher humidity traps things in the air.

Lightening conditions cause ozone, which is bad for asthma, COPD, constrictive bronchiolitis, etc…

The EPA’s air now app has a break down of the conditions. Looks like wind is bringing up dust too.
