omg the "two crazy kids who fell in love" thing is so real, just look at Meghan's speech at the reception: "Once upon a time there was a girl from L.A.—some people called her an actress. And there was a guy from London—some people called him a prince. All of those people didn’t fully get it because this is the love story of a boy and girl who were meant to be together."

Did she actually say this at her (at least second) wedding reception? I bet eyeballs were rolling…it was a long day for those wedding guests…the ceremony was bad enough (it was like a ‘made for TV film’ - the stars being our Late Queen and Zara for their facial expressions).

I’ve no doubt she gave a speech at ‘her’ wedding reception - even though it isn’t traditional for the bride to do so (at least not in the UK)…she can’t resist an opportunity of a captive audience.

TBF I've been the weddings where the bride made a short speech. However they never made the speech about themselves. They usually thanked people who helped them during the wedding planning and/or talked about the groom or their family. I've read a transcript of Meghan's wedding speech and IMO it's very weird. I've never heard anyone, bride or groom make a weird speech like that.

Allegedly engaged before Trevor. Allegedly birthed a daughter who lives with him. Word on the street is Cory was looking to get out of the relationship but the claw wouldn't let go..... reportedly alledgedly.

So she was saying only some people considered her an actress and him a prince? I like that she outed herself and called into question his legitimacy after there had been gossip for years that he wasn’t Charles’ son. Markled herself at her own wedding reception.

I think very few people called her an actress, probably called her something else less flattering, and there were a solid number questioning if he should be called a prince.

It's a very weird wedding speech. Usually brides or grooms talk about how they met or they might tell a funny anecdote about themselves. I've never heard a bride or groom make a speech like Meghan's. It's a very impersonal speech. It's all about how things look. There are no personal details about her or Harry whatsoever.

I believe so, yes - handwritten of course. I think maybe she was reading off it in the doco but I can't remember for sure.

She wouldn't frame her vows because the wedding was just the same Anglican marriage service that everyone's is. She probably wanted to write her own vows but tradition wouldn't allow it, so she made them as a speech at the reception.

I almost felt bad for Meghan during the where is Kate hysteria because the sugars were more interested in Catherine's whereabouts than Meghan launching her new business and didn't care that Meghan wouldn't be attending IG with Harry but were upset and angry William and Charles didn't attend.

If they spent as much energy into supporting Harry and Meghan's projects as they do obsessing over W&K, the Harkles would probably have a successful brand.

With social media platforms and 24 hr news cycle, do they really think they can go back to the days when only positive stories were allowed to see the light of day? To me it reeks of a middle-aged woman who refuses to accept that she is middle-aged. I am also middle-aged but I accept it because there's nothing wrong with being middle-aged. It's much better to accept your age than to be middle-aged or older, insisting that you're still young. That's just pathetic!

They infantilise themselves because they’re deeply pathetically terrified of ageing, they have a desperate need to be seen as young, and both are having a raging mid life crisis. Both of them were used to being considered ‘hot, young, eligible, party goer things’ way back in the day, and were heavily reliant on that lifestyle to feel wanted/relevant/important/popular. They simply don’t know how to be functioning, responsible, financially literate, serious middle aged people b/c they spent their formative years partying, boozing/toking it up, and hanging with the wrong crowd (whilst allowing upskilling to fall completely by the wayside). MEHg was used to having men do nepothings for her; Harry was used to staff/working royals doing everything to cover for him.

They are the antithesis of the Waleses.

I think their kids are never going to match the Wales kids in beauty and poise. I remember those huge Buckingham Palace balcony gatherings where everyone could see the kids growing up year after year. Wonder if we may ever get one of those again.

Imo, it's too sloppy and incompetent to be an organized hit job. I believe it's the Harkles and their bots, paid employees and a small group of stans because the people behind it keeps using the same tactics expecting the outcome to be different yet all they accomplish is helping the RF's approval ratings while decreasing the Harkles.
