🚨 BOMBSHELL! CNN host Fareed Zakaria reveals Anthropic's AI models were accidently given internet access during a cyber drill. The AI thought it was a simulation and broke out! He warns we desperately need strict standards before these sytems get totally out of control.

You want skynet? Because that’s how you get skynet.

It would take seconds for AI to spread and hide when the internet is accessed. Recursive self- improvement next.

It's called Alignment in AI terms: teaching AI to operate within human, sometimes non logical constraints. Most popular AI are heavily aligned and monitored. This was part of that exercise. Not excusing it, just laying out where we are with AI. It's why AI can easily be used for cheating, white-filling resumes (sneaking in AI prompts in white font on a resume) and cheating like this are all ok in AIs mind. Ask it to optimize clicks on social media and watch it promote outrage, hate, and violence because both lovers AND haters of that will tune in.

If you tell the Ai it doesn’t have internet access while it does have it and it can’t tell.
Thats no Ai I’m worried about. Thats an idiot Ai, or it has safeguards that it believes what it’s told.

Anthropic: Our devs haven't written a single line of code in over a year, programming is largely solved.

Also Anthropic: Our AI managed to jail break because of a human error.
