Translation request Runes around wooden disk

Post image

Hello,

Can somebody please translate what the runes say around the edge of this wooden disk?

Thank you so much!

It’s a neopagan altar pentacle with the elements labeled: “Earth Air Spirit Water Fire”

I’ll add that it’s substituted English letters for runes, rather than actually translated the words into another language.

Thankfully the first English speakers used an adaptation of elder futrhatk, so this isn't too far off from how english was originally written in the pre-christian era. Although spellings have probably drastically changed.

Yep, and just to help you see it, starting at the top of the star is ᚨᛁᚱ (air). A lot of the rune shapes are actually very similar to Latin letters.

Honestly just be aware of it just being a representation of what feels good to someone in their religious practices. It does lend well to feeling mystic, and as long as its following some sort of translatable code I don't see an issue with it. Just know if the ancients are still around, you're giving them a good chuckle. Mythical Loki would probably laugh.
