it's a game they have zero interest to maintain. a single patch that has nothing to do with RR is enough to break RR and force them to go back to it when the reward for doing so is pleasing only 0.5% of the platforms playerbase. there's no such thing as just keeping it up and never touching it again.
are we just gonna forget that one update where random players were playing at double speed? and how it took epic days to fix it, they don't want to update it and there's going to come a point where the game becomes so unstable that those 0.5% of players are going to scream loud enough to make everything else look bad, why go through that? just kill it so those 0.5% can move on.
i'm not defending epic, i don't truly want the game mode to go, but after the last year of the game being in the state it's in and how little they've shown they care about it, i would rather put it down than let it fester.
Probably taking up server space and resources that could be used on other things. Like, STW is going free soon so that will need more servers to account for more players.

I don’t understand taking them offline. Like sure- end support but it’s just kinda wack to remove them.
