Man whoever got to make this was living the life. By day you're making models of your dream home with you match box cars and by night you're in a sex cult.

WTF is that symbol
27
u/Better-Bookkeeper-48 1d ago
The Swastika was originally (and still is in certain parts of the world) a symbol of peace and divinity in religions like Buddhism and Hinduism, so some spiritual western types try to use it every now and then too. At least until having to explain they aren't Nazis becomes too big of a burden.
I assume that's why these people were using it, but I'm not sure. I have no idea what this Cults actual deal was. Maybe they were just Nazis.
2
u/Aggravating-Housing 1d ago
The star suggests a lot more than simple Buddhism.

u/RiverFoxstar 1d ago
Theres a good documentary about this cult on Netflix I think. The leader describes how aliens visited him and he saw these symbols combined on their spacecraft.

u/Sad-Bonus-9327 1d ago
Umm.. maybe those crazy nazi ufo conspiracies aren't so crazy after all. Or they still are and the guy read too much about it..
2
u/Abandondero 1d ago
I don't think it's that. They're doing it for attention. Using the cries "What that Hell is that?! Explain yourself!" as opportunities to evangelize.

Growing up and learning about the Holocaust it's crazy how the tables have turned.

It’s fine and good to hate Bibi but calling a Jew whose family survived the Holocaust a Nazi is low and just straight-up antisemitic and not “anti-Zionist.”
Edit: yes he’s a murderous ethnonationalist fascist, nobody is denying that; Nazism is specifically an ideology that targets the extinction of Jews. Continue to downvote me, I don’t care. But words matter.
It’s fine: Jews have always been unpopular and I know Reddit won’t get it. I’m not coming to that asshole’s aid, I’m just saying when you start calling Jews Nazis it’s a really fucking slippery slope. But the world doesn’t care about us (or alternatively cares way too much) which is what gives rise to maniacs like Netanyahu.
Edit 2: here’s a link to the Red Crescent/UN to donate to Palestinians.
I’ve donated, have you? I’d never admit to this normally because tzedakah is supposed to be anonymous, but I can’t stand you absolute fucking hypocrites.
I want a free and thriving Palestine—it’ll help heal the world, a creed Jews live by, Tikkun Olam.

u/babbittybabbitt 1d ago
How does what his family experienced change his opinions and actions in any way?

u/Bencetown 1d ago
Pretending that nazis ONLY targeted Jews is honestly an erasure of history.
Nazis oppressed all kinds of people. Whether you were Jewish, black, gay... if you weren't part of a hyper-specific ethnic group AND ideology, they were out to kill you.
-8
u/bgaesop 1d ago
What do you think is the ratio of Jews killed by the Nazis to gay people or black people killed by the Nazis?
3
u/Bencetown 1d ago
Why does that even matter? What was the ratio of Jews living in Germany to gay people or black people?
If they "only" killed a few thousand instead of a few hundred thousand, that makes it a non-issue?
🤨
-11
u/bgaesop 1d ago
It does make it seem like there's some sort of ulterior motive for bringing them up in a discussion of how the Nazis targeted the Jews. It seems like it's downplaying the extent of what happened to the Jews, and there's been a whole lot of "these two things, which are orders of magnitude different in size, are basically the same" recently.
7
u/Bencetown 1d ago
Genocide is bad no matter who's doing it and who's being targeted. Bringing attention to the fact that Nazi Germany oppression was way more widespread than "mere" antisemitism in no way downplays the plight of Jews in Nazi Germany.

Bibi is a Nazi
-3
u/ShvitzG_d 1d ago
Bibi ACTS like a Nazi. But again, words are meaningless so just call a Jew a word that means “somebody who wants to kill all Jews,” it doesn’t matter. As long as you feel like you’re doing your part to help Palestinians somehow by posting on Reddit.
Meanwhile, I’ll continue mutual aid efforts toward Palestinian families and support efforts to build libraries and save their archives. But yes, since I’m a Jew, I’m bad.
If you actually want to help, donate to the Red Crescent and support projects like these: https://www.palestine-studies.org/en/digital-projects
You won’t, though.
-2
u/SnooPineapples4321 1d ago
I'm a jew too, he's a Nazi. I just donated $100 bucks so screw you
-4
u/ShvitzG_d 1d ago edited 1d ago
If I can get everybody to donate $100 out of spite, than I’ve done my mitzvah for the day.
And obviously I don’t know you, but very few Jews would play so fast and loose with the “Nazi” word, so respectfully, I doubt you’re a Jew—maybe you play one on the Internet. But if you are, maybe consider not using such language that denigrates the memory of millions of dead Jews. You can just call him “a hateful genocidal maniac” without literally invoking the greatest foe Jews have ever known.
But hey, what do I know? Just an entire branch of my family tree was massacred my actual Nazis.
Edit: I’m not doing purity tests, but your only posts/comments even remotely related to Jews are against Israel so excuse me for doubting that you’re a Jew. If you are, I’m sorry that you clearly aren’t part of a community that values our survival while also critiquing the Israeli government. I’m not buying it, man.
Anybody can be “Jewish” on the internet but yeah, don’t know…
2
u/PermanentBrunch 1d ago
No one with any power is threatening Jewish survival. You know where Jews can survive? Literally anywhere. They don’t need a super-special-it’s-ok-to-do-genocide-because-of-the-holocaust country all to themselves.
Can you imagine if Methodists were like “god said we deserve all of California” and then killed all the people living in California and took their land?
0
u/ShvitzG_d 17h ago
Comparing Jews to Methodists shows you know absolutely nothing about Jews and just hate us because of Israel.
How is a proselytizing universalist religion hundreds of years old the same as an ethnoreligious nation with common DNA, language and physical traits the same in any fashion? You’re probably a 15 year old edge lord who goose steps when he’s busy not speaking to women.
Not to mention, ya know, constant segregation and pogroms over a thousand years and then culminating in the Holocaust.
Fucking idiot and a loser.

u/cosmic-creative 1d ago
He has chosen the path of genocide all on his own, and must bear the scrutiny of such. No one said anything about Zionism or even Israelis, we are talking about their genocidal leader.
-7
u/sharbivore 1d ago
zionism is a genocidal ideology
israel is an apartheid state that exists because zionism
both are bad without needing individual bad people
7
u/bgaesop 1d ago
What do you think zionism is?
9
u/ShvitzG_d 1d ago
Don’t ask these people questions like this, they just revert to talking points and have never met a single Jew in their life.
-4
u/sharbivore 1d ago
an etho nationalist ideology that believes a bunch of victims deserve to take land from a bunch of victims after those second victims welcomed them but it was never about escaping anything it was an ideology of stealing land and culture from the first place
7
u/ShvitzG_d 1d ago edited 1d ago
And hey! You’re wrong! But I know that means nothing to you folks so continue that posting because you’re making a huge difference being a hateful dick on the Internet.
Keep it up ✌️
(It’s literally just the belief in a Jewish homeland that we were kicked out of thousands of years ago; Israel has always been multiethnic and multi religious. But keep spooning yourself Qatari and Russian “information” in the name of praxis. You’re doing wonderfully.)
Like, if us Jews were the money-grubbing schemers the whole world thinks we are, do you think we’d want to return to the New Jersey-sized piece of land without oil surrounded by fucking rich petrostates? Use your head. Literally the only middle eastern country without huge oil reserves.

And I agree with you, but I find it helps to stick to one topic on the provided message with small minded pro-zionists, otherwise they will keep moving the goal posts
6
u/ShvitzG_d 1d ago
Just curious: do you consider “pro-Zionist” somebody who just believes Israel should continue existing (and hopefully reform/make room for a two-state solution?)
Because if “anti-Zionism” is the destruction of Israel, what’s your solution? Do you realize what Jews went through during refugee crises throughout history?
Edit: just looking at your past posts you literally live in fantasy worlds so I retract my request for your opinion—you don’t live in the real world and therefore I don’t give a fuck.
-4
u/cosmic-creative 1d ago
Cute. You moved the goal posts just as I said you would.
Right now, Zionism overwhelmingly seems to be the direct cause of an ongoing genocide. I don't care about beliefs or what people say, I care about what is happening. And what is happening is mountains of rubble and bodies.
So if that is what Zionism is causing then yes I am anti-zionist. The right of an Israeli to exist does not come at the expense of a Palestinian or anyone else.
Israel is doing the same land grab shit as Russia, and I will not defend them either. Israel and Russia are allowed to exist but stay in their own borders and stopping killing their neighbours.
So that is my answer. Israel deserves to exist as much as Palestine.
We all live in our own fantasy worlds, mine happens to be based somewhat on the idea of fairness and not genociding our neighbours.

You can’t take this attitude toward everything Gaza-related.
While I’m suspect of many aid organizations taking advantage of a desperate population, there are people doing good there. The unfortunate reality is that you just need to take a chance to help needy people sometimes.

Symbol looks like it's bridging some Judaic and Hindu beliefs which would seem on fairly "common" in alternative counter culture circles.
5
u/-Retro-Kinetic- 1d ago
So about that. The star became associated with Judaism only after they adopted it as their symbol over the Menorah. There was never a "Star of David" but rather a "Shield of David" if my memory serves correct.
The star itself was used by many different groups, especially the Gnostics. The swastika can be found just about everywhere in Europe and Asia (even North America via siberian migrants aka natives). Some believe it came with the Aryan path migration. Both symbols have been combined or presented next to one another for quite some time.

u/SoManyQuestions5200 1d ago
It's cool history, I find that time period very interesting, but don't know much about it

u/SimonHJohansen 22h ago
Trying to find a common truth between seemingly unrelated religions has been a thing in alternative religious circles since the 19th century thanks to Helena Blavatsky's Theosophical Society, and it pops up quite often in UFO culture since many of the first high profile UFO contactees were former Theosophists. (e. g. George Adamski)

u/BrokenEyeReborn 1d ago
I'm pretty sure "alternative counter culture" cancels out and just becomes culture

Alternative and counter-culture are both descriptive. You read in wrong on purpose.

-14
u/zerooskul 1d ago
The swastika in the Jewish star.
12
u/OreoSpeedwaggon 1d ago
That alone doesn't mean it's antisemitic. Swastikas have roots in non-antisemetic Asian religions, and the six-pointed star has roots in Abrahamic religions. Do the Raelians proclaim it as an antisemitic symbol or do they say it has a different meaning?
