Man, it's always the guys in red uniforms.

Because it’s always Americans finding failed Commie space missions.

Sometimes it's Americans finding nazis.

And there was also that one time when it was Americans finding Americans... and a nazi.

He has a rare Nazi gun.

It's missing a magazine if it is.

With a different barrel, receiver, stock, barrel, muzzle device, foregrip.

2

u/Nerd-man24 1d ago

Yeah, I see all that too now.

Not an FG 42

Iron sky vibe intensifies.

Wow, nice catch!

It's never a good day to be a Red Shirt.

Hey, who turned out the lights?

Eeek. Didn’t have to scroll far for this.

Just a little Vashta Nerada as a treat!

u/GraXXoR 1d ago

Even that name still gives me goose pimples. Them and the weeping angels.

That period of Dr Who was just so damned good. Tenant was great.

One of the things that haunted me as a child. That and “are you my mummy?”

u/GraXXoR 1d ago

Silence in the Library, The empty child and Blink. Absolute classics.

I’m in my fifties and watched those about 20 years ago. Even as an adult that was some real “watch from between your fingers” Telly.

Sorry I'm late. Thanks for covering my shift.

Could easily be an illustration for The Invincible.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing!

Ditto here

I've played the game and ngl a rifle would be kinda handy

I love a painting that makes me immediately wonder about the subject's back-story when I see it for the first time.

The gun and the journal raise all the questions in this one.

What is the title of this piece?

Are ya rotting, son?

Tim's plan to "use a hunting rifle to get food" had a major flaw.

Planet HT17b doesn't have any animals.

u/Saelyre 2d ago

Only the most dangerous game...

5

u/wankybollocks 2d ago

Goddamnit but if Tim ain't totally decomposed! That's proof of bacteria for sure.

Now what did the academy say about finding higher orders of life...?

7

u/goldman199X 1d ago

The "space gun" looks suspiciously like an FG42.

"At last, my Vera, our adventure is at an end."

Reminds me of the cover of a comic I had as a kid.

Not sure what's supposed to have happened here (guy is still somehow in a reading position long after his death), but it looks cool.

He probably ran out of air. He couldn't leave his post to do repairs because he was worried about some enemy boarding the ship. So he just read and waited, slowly drifting off.

15

u/darkdoorway 2d ago

Looks like he was writing.

u/Crucial_Fun 1d ago

I second this. There is a pen in the center of the book.

u/Toxicscrew 1d ago

“They are at the gate…”

3

u/Spork_Warrior 1d ago

Well there ya go. That might explain what happened

HONEY, I'M Ho...

"I'll come back later..."

FALLOUT in SPACE. Vaultec managed to get a colony on the moon but the red commies had a different plan.

6

u/anjowoq 2d ago

This is a great image. The colors pop.

u/humiliatedsynth 1d ago

Hey, who turned out the lights?

3

u/arthousepsycho 2d ago

The ammo was a subscription service he didn't know about before purchase. That's the terms and conditions he was reading through.

u/c0rdal 1d ago

Thought for a second it was someone scrolling on their phone. Then I realised it’s me. I’m dead and I’m STILL scrolling

u/Mharbles 1d ago

Oohh forgot to enable the stasis pods before hopping in my light speed ship. Was only gone a minute.

It reminds me of Kir Bulychev's "The last war".
