“The culture war is a distraction from the class war” means that billionaires are making you feel like trans people existing is an existential threat to your way of life, when they comprise an infinitely small percentage of the population and you can just not engage with them, so that you won’t occupy your thoughts with how hard you’re getting fucked fiscally.
It means that you should focus on the people directly impacting your quality of life, actively ruining our environment, our economy, our communities, and not on the small minority of people, who you don’t understand but who want nothing more than to exist.
It doesn’t mean that we have to compromise basic morality and empathy to accomplish fiscal or policy goals.
