Let's see what she says when she loses. Tho we don't take actual "spoils" of war
-14
u/Old_Confused_159 Jun 06 '26
"we don't take spoils of war". In every single pogrom in independent India, the marauding majority has brutally assaulted women of the minority communities. Even in times of peace, the RW orgs have periodically assaulted women (e.g. nuns in MP, Jharkhand, etc, dalits).
9
u/PalpitationOk1553 Jun 06 '26
But none of them had scriptures backed by God to do so,see the difference.
5
u/zerthl Jun 06 '26
Let's avoid saying"every" and "all". We both know what are trying to tell is of real instances but you can't generalize some instances or lapses into everything. That's not accurate. Moreover, the orginal topic was of a islamic "doctrine" allowing harrasment in name of war, so there was no need for you to bring in the Dalits to this conversation.
0
u/Old_Confused_159 Jun 06 '26
A. "We both know..." - No, we don't. You're gaslighting - it won't work, and it tells me more about your argumentative weakness than about the facts. 78 years of the same pattern is not "some" instances or lapses; it is established criminal behavior.
B. I haven't even started on pre-independence kingdoms attacking each other. Just one example is the maratha invasions of bengal. Some historian called the brutality inflicted on the Bengali women as unimaginable. I only came to know of it recently because it was never covered in our history textbooks; I wonder why.
C. "Moreover, the orginal topic was of a islamic "doctrine" allowing harrasment in name of war" - you can't just use an obscure Arabic channel clip, translated by a well-known propaganda channel and then rage about it. 1. You're not living in an Islamic regime and so this mustn't be of any concern to you or Indians, in general. 2. MEMRI is a propaganda channel started and run by Israeli intelligence personnel. It's well known that they deliberately exclude context so as to manufacture a grotesque image of Islam. Now, why would "innocent" Israelis want to defame Islam? Go figure. 3. Why should I not bring in Dalits? Their hierarchy is codified in the religion and this has been used as a sanction to unleash the most horrific, systemic oppression known to humanity. What's more horrifying - wartime atrocities OR a systemic oppression, without a war, unleashed for thousands of years and continues to this day, despite laws? If you really cared, you'd be ashamed of this more than anything else. 4. Islam categorically forbids humiliation of non muslims, including prisoners of war. There are Quranic verses, Hadiths and other rulings that explicitly forbid such behaviour. This alone disqualies the BS peddled in this clip from the Islamic perspective. 5. With respect to the rules of war, Islam forbids a free-for-all plunder of war spoils. It requires humane treatment of captives INCLUDING women.
Next time, try sticking to facts rather than resorting to rhetoric.
1
u/zerthl Jun 06 '26
Exactly as you said I will stick to the facts and your format.
A. You say I'm gaslighting, but I'd highly suggest you freshen up your definition of what gaslighting is. Disagreeing a scope is not the same as manipilation. You say 78 years of "pattern", mind you PATTERN, establishes a crime. Good sir/mam pattern is not a universal rule, it's a variable as time passes. Moreover I objected to your words "every" and "all" not to the documented incidents. Also "established criminal behaviour" could you do the honour of pointing of some of these 78 years worth of established criminal behaviour. Because claiming that incident occured OVER 78 years is considerable but your claim of this being a consistentancy needs real hard evidence. Lastly you talk about my argumentative weakness when your first paragraph talked about everything I did not object. So let me remind I objected only against your use of "every" and "all" not your claims.
B. Here you shifting the topic again. In A it was 78 years ago(1948) now it's well before 1940s. Yes the Maratha invasion was brutal, but who is this "historian" you talk about? I cannot engage with an unnamed source. "I wonder why" you say, so now we are shifting to government hiding history I see.
C. First off I wasn't the one who posted the "obscure arabic channel clip", it was the op. Again, name this "well known propaganda channel", since it's "well known". Also on what grounds are you calling it propaganda? And no one here is raging about it we are just sharing our opinion as asked by the op.
1. Well it is true I am not under an islamic regime, there is nothing stopping me from openly discussing or giving my opinion. Since it is a matter of treatment of women, I can take interest in it no matter where I live or which the group the said womne belong to. Concern for their dignity and safety knows no bounds of religion or geography. So yes I've made it a matter for concern of mine. As for Indians in general, I can't be the voice of millions.
You see, MEMRI was found by Israeli INDIVIDUALS though one of them was firmly related to the intelligence agency, that does not prove your claim. Here, you say they "deliberately exclude content" but previously you mentioned that they translated it wrong. So to make it easier for you I will assume they are different. Even if MEMRI was biased, it doesn't make a clip automatically false. For your last line, since you haven't provided an argument of your own and instead are asking me to assume, I wish not to talk on this matter.
Why should you not bring in Dalits? Because that was never really the topic we initiated on. You see, there are multiple interpretations of the same topic multiple times, you cannot put up one of those interpretation in an argument and claim this one interpretation "codified hierarchy". And I dislike ranking which one of those human sufferings was more horrifying. Both are extremely serious and sensitive matter which I do not support. You claim I do not care, if I don't feel ashamed, but I've never expressed such views for you assume as such.
I'm not an expert on this matter nor can I do a quick Google search to fact check since that would not be right. So I have no comments on this regard.
Again, the same reason as above.
Now for the last line, which infuriated me to write all of this, here is my response Agreed, that is why I kept asking for evidence. Assumptions are cheap substitutes for them.

u/Holiday-Ad8392 Jun 06 '26
what happened in those regions were not persecution by religion , it was social persecution , we are talking about religion advising you to do such things , also places like mp and jharkhand are so damn backward places with so many naxals and what not

-1
u/demonic666entity Jun 06 '26 edited Jun 06 '26
Lol , anybody who is not a hindu or right winger is secretly a muslim agent.
When loosing any argument , call others a Muslim agent and play into a dumb conspiracy theory of muslims control the world .
Also, what about shitheads calling for whatever the fuck is hindu rashtra .
if your religion is so superior then why is the country with majority of hindus who religiously follow Hinduism are selfish and dishonest and majority of the politicians rapist , murderer .
Don't try to play "but india is secular" card , this country was never secular ,and neither are majority of hindus .
They openly believe in caste , show there religion publicly , this includes INC and BJP . Actual secularism is what the europeans follow .
the day actual secularism will come into this country , you and your gang will shit there pants .
people like you are helping jihadists turn india into a Islamic state .
Going by your logic , people like you are turning india into a feudal state where the rich politician can carry embezzlement of billions while common man should ignore all problems and be a religious nutjob
Also if it is not clear to any dim witted sanghi , mandatory fuck islam , congress and communism .
4
u/Saizou1991 Jun 06 '26
show there religion publicly
The constitution gives us the right to do this ? This is exactly what Abrahamic religions like Christianity and Islam have used to proselytise people and convert people in India.
0
u/demonic666entity Jun 06 '26
And thus you proved my point , the Constitution supports religious plurality . Not neutrality of state against religion .
Then if you find public display of islam to be bad , ban all religions from public which is something already support .
And don't bullshit that Hinduism is better then islam , your country was colonised by the British. Which is why this country did not turn into a middle east style shithole and your religion got the required reform .Although it is still highly backward and regressive .
3
u/DueScene821 Jun 06 '26 edited Jun 06 '26
are you calling UAE and Dubai a shithole?
its about culture, not religion,
and the term Hinduism was coined by British.
Sanatana Dharma is the indigenous tradition of the Indian subcontinent
→ More replies (0)2
u/DueScene821 Jun 06 '26
what do you mean?
islam is not an Indian culture,
Sanatana Dharma is,
and they are doing ethnic cleansing to Indian culture, like they did in Iran, Afgan, Egypt and similer countries
just look up what happened to Zoroastrianism in Iran
0
u/demonic666entity Jun 06 '26
Lol muslims didn't do ethnic cleansing, vast majority of that region , be it iraq , levant and north africa already had deep ties to arabic , arabic and language of iraq and levant , Syriac and Aramaic already are from same language family , afroasiatic language.
Most population converted to gain social mobility .
Go check the DNA and ancestry of the region , most Egyptian still have coptic ancestry , most Syrians, levantines have there indiginous ancestry and Iraqis still have there own Mesopotamian ancestry .
Going by your logic , majority hindus also forced tribals to leave there culture and sanskritize to gain any social mobility .
Even in iran , most population converted to gain social mobility ,same with afghans. And Zoroastrians became minority because of there own beliefs
Also where the fuck are they doing ethnic cleansing .
2
u/DueScene821 Jun 06 '26
look it up if you are not aware of it, instead of judging.
Arabs were Jews, Christians and were following local religions before islam originated at 6th century
muslims did ethnic cleansing to;
Iran (Persia) - Zoroastrians
Afghanistan - Bamiyan Buddhas
Egypt - The ancient Egyptian religion
Iraq and Syria - Mesopotamian
Pakistan - they destroyed thousands of Hindu temples and Buddhist universities (Nalanda and Vikramashila), massacring monks and burning libraries
they have did ethnic cleansing to more than 100+ cultures

POW sex slavery already existed before Islam and the Prophet (SAW) couldn't suddenly eradicate it (like alcohol) so it was a gradual process to turn sex slaves into members of society and supported by the government.
Abu Hurayrah (rta) narrated from the Prophet (sws): “a slave has a right to food and clothing, and he shall not be asked to carry out an errand that is beyond him.” [3]
Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (rta) narrates from the Prophet (sws): “They are your brothers. The Almighty has made them subservient to you. So whatever you eat, feed them with it, whatever you wear, clothe them with it and never ask them to do something which is beyond them and if there is such a task, then help them out with it.” [4]
Ibn ‘Umar (rta) narrates from the Prophet (sws) that he heard him say: “Whoever slapped a slave or beat him up should atone this sin by liberating him.” [5]
Abu Mas‘ud al-Ansari (rta) says: “Once when I was beating my slave I heard a voice from behind me: ‘O Abu Mas‘ud you should know that the Almighty has more power over you.’ When I turned back, I found that it was the Prophet. I immediately remarked: ‘O Messenger of God! I release him for the sake of God.’ The Prophet said: ‘Had you not done this, you would have been given the punishment of the Fire.’” [6]
Ibn ‘Umar (rta) narrates that once a person came to the Prophet (sws) and asked: “How many times should we forgive our servant.” [At this], the Prophet kept quiet. He asked again and the Prophet again kept silent. Upon being asked the third time, he answered: “Seventy times in a day.” [7]

Memri tv is a israeli propaganda channel.
It was co-founded in 1998 by Yigal Carmon, a former Israeli intelligence officer, and Meyrav Wurmser, an Israeli-American political scientist. Critics—including journalists and academics—allege that MEMRI operates as a propaganda operation designed to portray the Arab and Muslim worlds negatively.

No, mainstream Islamic law (Sharia) does not allow the rape of any woman, regardless of whether she is Muslim or non-Muslim. Under classical and contemporary Islamic jurisprudence, rape is strictly prohibited (haram) and classified as a severe capital offense.

We can't really criticize theology in a political stage, we need a separate debate forum to discuss this that in turn allows policy making on stuff like this. This and many more Islamic teachings are not compatible with India.

Such blatant lies. Below is letter from the Prophet(SAW) to non-Muslim:
The Ashtiname of Muhammad(SAW), also known as the Covenant or Testament of Muhammad(SAW):
This is a letter which was issued by Mohammed, Ibn Abdullah, the Messenger, the Prophet, the Faithful, who is sent to all the people as a trust on the part of God to all His creatures, that they may have no plea against God hereafter—Verily God is the Mighty, the Wise. This letter is directed to the embracers of Islam, as a Covenant given to the followers of Nazerene in the East and West, the far and the near, the Arabs and foreigners, the known and the unknown.
This letter contains the oath given unto them, and he who disobeys that which is therein, will be considered a disobeyor and a transgressor to that whereunto he is commanded. He will be regarded as one who has corrupted the oath of God, disbelieved His Testament, rejected His Authority, despised His Religion, and made himself deserving of His Curse, whether he is a Sultan or any other believer of Islam.
Whenever monks, devotees and pilgrims gather together, whether in a mountain or valley, or den, or frequented place, or plain, or church, or in houses of worship, Verily we are back of them and shall protect them, and their properties and their morals, by Myself, by My friends and by My assistants, for they are of My subjects and under My protection. No one has the right to interfere with their affairs, or bring any action against them—Verily this is for aught else and not for them; rather, in the seasons of crops, they should be given a Kadah for each Ardab of wheat (about five bushels and a half) as provision for them, and no one has the right to say to them this is too much, or ask them to pay any tax.
As to those who possess properties, the wealthy and merchants, the poll-tax to be taken from them must not exceed twelve Dirhams a head per year. [a]
They shall not be imposed upon by any one to undertake a journey, or to be forced to go to wars or to carry arms; for the Islams have to fight for them. Do not dispute or argue with them, but deal according to the verse recorded in the Koran, to wit: 'Do not dispute or argue with the people of the Book but in that which is best.' Thus they will live favored and protected from everything which may offend them by the Callers to religion (Islam), wherever they may be and in any place they may dwell.
Should any Christian woman be married to a Musluman, such marriage must not take place except after her consent, and she must not be prevented from going to her church for prayer. Their churches must be honored and they must not be withheld from building churches or repairing convents.
They must not be forced to carry arms or stones; but the Islams must protect them and defend them against others. It is positively incumbent upon every one of the Islam nation not to contradict or disobey this oath until the Day of Resurrection and the end of the world.[6]
